This looks like a 7x7x7 and indeed is a face turning puzzle.
Compared with the traditional 7x7x7 this puzzle allows only slice moves.
That means the puzzle consists out of one middle layer and three pairs of layers: 1 and 7, 2 and 6, 3 and 5.
Its creation was inspired by the ideas of Nersés Aramian.
It is assumend that the rounded shape was used to give the puzzle flat surfaces and equally sized stickers.
Speaking about solving there are only 37 pieces present in this puzzle compared with 218 of the 7x7x7.
Edge length: 81 mm
Weight: 318 grams
