Illegal Cube is a puzzle that should not be allowed to exist. This 'cube' has two corners and three edges too many, and two pentagonal faces. Still all types of turns seem to work and allow 90°-turns. This puzzles is inspired by an idea by Jason Smith. Bram Cohen coined the term 'fudged' for this kind of design.
Edge length: 49 mm
Height: 59 mm
Weight: 62 mm
The puzzle has 9793859055706052461854720000000 = 9.79*10^30 permutations if all pieces are considered distinguishable and their orientations visible.
Compared with the number available if the puzzle can be disassembled and reassembled there are these restrictions:
-The orientation of the last corner is determined by the other nine.
-The orientation of the last edge is determined by the other fourteen.
-The permutations of the square faces, the corners and the edges combined must be even.
In essence these are the same restrictions as known from the Super Cube.
Stickered as shown here the puzzle has 765145238727035348582400000 = 765*10^24 permutations.
