Finally, it is solved. Of course every situation is different. You should spend a bit of time learning the building of the bottom and middle layers. This stage is perfected by studying the cube and seeing how you can meet the corner and edge pieces in pairs.
There are many combinations, and you should try to learn the quickest possible way for each one. That stage will teach you a lot about the cube.
As for the top layer, well... this is just a case of learning a few algorithms and knowing them off by heart. Most are very easy to memorise as they might only use two faces, but some a little long and complex.
