I wish i knew how to make custom puzzles

.
I think the first thing I'm going to try is to make a 2x2 Eastsheen with a screw-spring system. Can anyone give me some advices on this??. Like what material to use and what tools.
I'm using Apoxie Sculpt, write Apoxie in the search function if you want more information. I'm also using hot glue, I'm filling the hole of hot glue then apply some Apoxie on it, it's just economic. A saw is useful, a dremel too, a lot of sanding paper. Epoxie glue is also good to fill. Some people are using plastic sheet and I'm sure it is the best way to make nice custom puzzle.
