This is part of my "design collection" that I will be offering master parts for sale. The collection consists of puzzle mods I have designed, but will most likely not build (or only build 1). This makes the puzzle available for everyone and allows me to work on further designs and entirely new puzzles. The offers on the parts will not expire.

Will you be selling sticker sets, or will we be required to make our own?

I don't own a sticker cutter (yet), but I can provide a template for the stickers.

Hmm, if it were $50 ( maybe $100), I might be abe to convince my mom. The cubic 3x3x5 is the ccoolest puzzle I've ever seen.
Can you keep a spare set for me to buy in a few years?
One question: the cubic 3x3x5 can turn both of the thin outer layers are long as 8 cubies are correctly arranged on any face, right?

As you can see, the center piece has no changes to it except for the cap, which is only changed for shape in the Octahedron and and Rhombic Dodecahedron.
And yes, these seem a bit out of my price range. I would love to have the Cubic, Octahedron, and Rhombic Dodecahedron puzzles in the future.
By the way, what color will the plastic be?

I have a question.
When someone buys parts for one of these from you are they just buying the parts or are they also buying the right to make the puzzle?
To put it another way, if someone were to make/sell one of the pictured puzzles without first buying parts from you, would you object?
I'm asking out of curiosity only as I'm not planning on making any of these (though I did once plan to make a cubic 3x3x5.)

So what's the big difference between the two options?

You get one of each piece, and you make copies,
or you get enough to create your own puzzle when you replace pieces on a DIY.

Just a quick update for anyone who has ordered master part sets or entire puzzle sets:
My primary supplier of 3D printed parts has been offline for the last month, so the orders have been on hold. The supplier problems have been resolved, and the master part sets will be printed very soon.
For the complete puzzle sets, I have a potential supplier of parts that would be much cheaper. The parts would be SLS instead of FDM, and so far it looks very good. The parts should work very well without the finishing work (sanding) that the FDM parts need to turn smoothly.

If this new method for complete sets is used, how much would it lower the original $150-250 price range?

Is there any chance that we could, as a group, get someone (Meffert's) to make molds and produce molded parts?

Hopefully it will lower the cost by 20-50%, but I will need a quote for each puzzle to know for sure. Injection molding is very costly, even for the CNC milled straight pull molds like the ones that would be needed to produce the parts for these puzzles. If I am going to spend the time and effort to make an Injection Molded puzzle, I want it to be something completely new.
If someone is willing to gather information and get quotes on having injection molded parts made (from Mefferts or a short run production shop), I would be happy to send out the part files for that project. I do not have the time, however to work on mass producing this puzzle.

Adam, does it have to be either FDM/SLS prototyping process or injection molding? Usually the former is for single pieces while the latter for way too many pieces... Are there any services that make parts using silicone/urethane molds and urethane plastics - essentially the same procedure that some of us use? That would suffice for several hundred parts I think. Thanks!

what is the best way to 3d-print something, including quality and price. I know STL is really good but cost a lot.

I want to buy a master set of pieces for this puzzle but I can't get a hold of anyone to buy them from.
