I think this one is called Case Cube. At least that is what it's called on www.puzzle-shop.de. Although in the twistypuzzles database a slightly different version (listed as an Elongated Fisher Cube made by Tony Fisher) is also called Case Cube. Can someone enlighten me? This is actually a fairly easy modification. You need a regular cube and two and a half Octagonal Prisms. Make sure the prisms match, because there are many different versions, with varying sizes. Sometimes the edges are blunt, on others they are very sharp. I bought a truckload of them on eBay and still it was difficult to find three that matched. Take 24 of the edge and corner pieces and use a saw to remove the... the... Hmm, how do you call these? You know what I mean, the plastic bits on the pieces that lock into the mechanism. Remove these and then glue the pieces on the cube. That easy? Yes, it's that easy. An extra thing you can do now is fill all the gaps with Apoxie Sculpt. And if you first put in some Styrofoam you'll save on Apoxie Sculpt and weight.. Sticker it and you're done. I think this is a really great looking puzzle. But as the centers need orientation it's a supercube, and I just hate solving supercubes! Oh well, I'll just look at it then Thomas

I love how you set up the post (text positioning with images). Made it really pretty and easy to follow.

OK I just finished my own case cube!
What a pain in the ass this was. I didn't have any cylinder cubes to use. I had to make all the pieces with moulding and plastic sheeting.
I will post some photos possibly tomorrow.

I made a case cube also. I got a found a free one from a lost and found and they said that i could keep it. All the stickers were messed up on it though, so I decided to turn it into a case cube. It is a piece of crap and I despertly need to fix it, but it works. i will be stickering it latter steryne

Yes but most of most of my favorite puzzles are very old and no one has commented on them in a while.

I've not seen this thread before, so it was quite nice to see again. I don't plan to bump years-old threads, but it's good to look back on this stuff. I need to dig thru the archives now.
