I want it so bad, but the odds are people with big money will dominate the auction.

as much as i would like to own it, i dont think i have enough money to buy it. on top of that i have played with it and unless you can create your own algorithms you may not be able to solve it if you scramble it. i played with it for about 10 minutes and didnt solve a single side. i think Aleh even said to me that he cant solve it.

I know I heard on this form somewhere but I just forget who said it and how they said it. The ALEH'S BRILIC should be easier to solve because the edges aren't stuck there when you move the top layer like in the Megaminx.
IMHO: I think it should be easier to solve then the Megaminx but I never actually touch one.

I can solve it . Adam, you played with 6 colors version, for me it little bit harder then 12 colors version.
The information about auction will be within several hours.

Aleh, is there any chance you'll sell the two individual pieces so that those of us who don't feel like selling our house can get one of these? lol

Please tell us where you found a online applet for this puzzle because I'm dying to know. Of course who isn't.

[EDIT]
For the record, note that these are not the JPUZZLERS linked on Meffert's site. Those are Java, this is downloadable.

I have never even seen a Limited Edition Silver Cube go for over $1500. I can't imagine that a custom puzzle would go that high. If someone has made one, more will be made someday. Maybe a few years away but someday. It all depends how bad you want it.

Thanks everyone!
It will take me a looong time to recover!
I just a) could not let this puzzle go b) I could not stop myself c) I was so frustrated all this year, when I could not put high bids on any beautiful puzzles, like Tony Fisher's whilst my job situation wasn't stable.
I guess that was my full wrath!
Last night before going to bed I could see where this auction was going money-wise. So I loged into XE.com and did the currency conversion. It didn't look as much in pounds, so I closed my eyes, put the bid on and went to bed. I still thought I might have been outbid.
It was a nice / scary surprise to wake up to! Aleh went into the effort of finding the box for it and printing an instruction booklet: well professional!
I will certainly treasure it!

Well Rasta, It looks like you and I bid to high. According to "The Price Is Right" we don't get to go to the next round
Its a shame that so many of these puzzles are inaccesable to the masses. I'm hoping one day many of these puzzles make it to production.
Congrats Vadim on winning this puzzle. I look forward to seeing a video of you solving it.

Congrats, Vadim!
Well, I stopped bidding, when I became the feeling that the price for the puzzle would rising into astronomical heights. My personal bed was something around $1200 at the end. Finally, it was not so much but still a lot!
I don't mind too much and will hopefully find something else to put under my Christmas tree.
Cheers - Frank

I know this is random, but Aleh, i was wondering where you got the name for it. I know that it has previously been called pyraminx crystal, mega crystal, etc. But does Aleh's Brilic mean anything special, ot is it just a random name you came up with? Also is it in a different language?

I'm sure everyone wants to know what it's like to play with that puzzle.

I'm sure Vadim won't be disappointed, as I have Aleh's Brilic #3. So I can tell. Ever since I got a solution for this puzzle in 1982, I wanted to have one, and thanks to Aleh, this wish has come true this year (just in time for my birthday ).
The puzzle is gorgeous, it turns like a Rolls Royce.

Georges is right:
Aleh said that he hopes I won't regret spending so much money in pure Russian!
By the way, how come you own brillic # 3? I haven't seen an auction with that!
I will certainly post a report on the puzzle, once I've got my hands on it!

So the thieves are back. On Saturday afternoon I received a slightly suspicious message through ebay. The English was very bad and they asked me which Rubik's Cubes do professionals use. I didn't reply as I thought it might be someone phishing for my email address. Did any other bidder receive the same or similar message? I deleted it and can't remember the user name.
Aleh, after the same thing happened to my auctions ebay made bidders on my auctions anonymous.
I can vaguely remember the last auction for this puzzle. Wasn't it made from a Dogic last time?

Hi Tony,
You are right. Last time it was made from a Dogic and quality was worse (unfortunately) .
I'll contact with ebay and tell them about fake second chance offer.
And of course, if I will sell more of those you can find all information on the Marketplace.
