I was thinking of buying a pyraminx original in the box which is $22 and has stickers, but I saw that there was also a pyraminx with tiles which is $18 which is a better choice?

personal preference. i personally would buy the tiled version. i like tiles, some dont. if a tile comes off, just a couple drops of crazy glue and your good to go. if your stickers get messed up, then its a few extra $'s and a boring/anxious wait for the mail to deliver a set of cubesmith stickers. EXCEPT cubesmith does not offer stickers for the pyraminx (at least not yet). go with the tiled version. p.s.

For me the issue isn't stickers or tiles. For me it is the pyraminx quality. Personally, my favorite pyraminxs are the white plastic knockoffs sold at tropicalstore on ebay.

Hmm. I could use a new dress...the one I'm wearing is getting pretty ragged! But seriously, I think this is the right seller http://myworld.ebay.com/tropicalestore
