A) Olympicubes Announcement.
Konstantinos Verdes has announced some very big news about his and his father's Olympicubes project. They have announced that some Olympicubes will be released sometime in 2008. The official release date will be announced in the early months of 2008 on their website. They also have noted that any other announcements about nxnxn cubes that is made will have no relation to their puzzles, which is very important because our next topic is...

B) Mèffert’s Announcement.
The last few months have been very ground breaking for Mèffert’s. After restocking their Skewb line, they also announced the planned release of Fisher's Golden Cube, Halpern-Meier Tetrahedron and Pyraminx Crystal and restock of the Megaminx within the next year. On top of this Mr. Mèffert is planning on either releasing a 6x6x6 or 7x7x7 of his own design. Please see the topic link to read the letter from Mr. Mèffert. Although this post had many believing Mèffert’s to be selling the Olympicubes, Konstantinos Verdes' post indicates otherwise. Further discussion revealed that Mèffert mentioned considering more than one source of higher order cubes, so at this point it seems like an independent design. If the price were set at $60 USD, Mèffert would like to know your preference of puzzle and how many you are willing to buy. Contact him here: email@example.com
. Place your answers to the survey only in the subject line, and only send an email once.

C) New Rubik's Product.
Rubik has produced a new puzzle known as "Rubik's Icon", which is a regular cube with different stickers. The colors are: White-Black, Silver-Gray, Light Gray-Dark Gray (Silver/White/Light-Gray clockwise around a corner). Apparently these puzzles are exclusive to Barnes & Noble Bookstore.

D) Rules Crackdown.
Sausage has increased the stringency of the rules due to the increase in unrulely behavior amongst a handful of newer members. He has asked that all members pay attention to the new rules being put in place.
1) Any deliberate attempt to break a rule listed above will result in dis-activation of the members account - no warning will be given.
2) Any hassling of any member for whatever reason, contempt, or rudeness will result in dis-activation of the members account - no warning will be given.

3) Noteworthy Threads
A) Shapes and Mechanisms: Concepts and Creations (Updated)
This thread saw some new interesting activity with Tony Fisher revealing a puzzle he made years ago that isn't very well known, his "Cubominx" which is a Pyraminx in a cubic form, without the 4 additional corners that appear on the Skewb. There is also an interesting sketch by Thomas of a Pyracue being stretched into a disproportional Mental Block.

B) $50 Dino Cubes, anyone? (Updated)
The.drizzle provided us an update on his inexpensive Dino project.
OK, an update, and I don't think you'll like it...
Basically, I got too injured to finish this off a while ago, and when I was all better, the shop was basically not available. Then it was, but I was (and still am) running at a severe shortage of free time to work on this project--or any other one for that matter--and have just put everything on hold for now.
Add to that that once things calm down and I get some free time (about a month from now), I will be heading overseas for a while. The bottom line? Don't expect anything until early 2008 AT THE EARLIEST.
Many apologies, but such is the nature of working for free I guess
