Big (virtual) cubes

So yesterday I downloaded a cube applet, and solved a 6x6x6 twice, and a 7x7x7. I'm having a lot of trouble with solving the centers, I solve four of them and then have no idea how to switch individual cubies around =\

any help?

Check out the big cube tutorial on youtube. Also, there is also a video that tells how to solve the centers of any big cube.
