I think it might be nice to have a thread about what we're presently solving ,or being challenged by. So, for when you've got a substantial part of the solve done, or partially achieved something.. and you don't really want help solving it yet, but it might be fun to share your progress. You could take a photo and put it here.

I'll start.. I've been making a bit of progress with Oskar's Offset Cube tonight, I'm just kind of doing it intuitively by block building, without sequences. It's got a cool little trick where you get `flipped cubies`, which is interesting.

You will be pleased to know that I am still stuck on your latest puzzle idea...I know I will get their eventually but It is unforgiving of mistakes.

Also, everytime I make progress you have another trick up your sleeve....this puzzle reminds me very much of a labyrinth with a new puzzle around every corner. So unless this name has already been used for something I am dubbing this "Burgo's Labrynth"

I got the three vesions of Geranium and I started with the mini. Now I am at the pocket version. I think this one is much harder than the mini.

I hear a rumour that you've solved that now.. And, for my next trick, there's the harder version!! I do have sequences and a method for it for when you get stuck (but I'll post them in the solving thread in due course ).

I was thinking of nick-naming it `Andy's puzzle` because you're the one who's persisted with it, but it seems it needs to be Andy's Labyrinth . I'll name the harder one after whoever can solve it (I think Andrea has a good chance ).

I haven't got any of them yet Andreas, they're very tempting, good luck!

WoW, congratulations Burgo!
You should ask Oskar, if your are the first who has solved it without a screwdriver

How hard do you judge it? Is there a method, or have you just used intuition and your immense visual capabilities?

@Elias: You didn't mean to say that you are solving a 3x3x3 completely intuitively?
Probably, you were talking about the Octostar specific part?

Elias, as a teaser I wanted to reproduce your "almost there" state.
As it turned out, your cube has a different colour scheme than mine.
So, I could make something similar, only:

Good luck.

BTW, it is probably clear already that the two swapped kites have nothing to do with the corner parity.
You can group all edges completely and have still the corner (or 3x3x3 edge) parity:

I solved it without sequences, but with quite a bit of visual effort, and the final few pieces actually went in a bit like a `rather complicated Rainbow Cube`. The progression from my second last photo to the solved photo was only 2x swaps. The first swap I thought I had it, but on closer inspection I had 2 groups of pieces in the same columns switched (above to below), and it took some more work.

I wouldn't say it was an easy puzzle by a long shot, but after you get the hang of how it works and understand why the pieces get flipped, you can sort it out, it's a bit like untangling string. Thanks for the challenge, by the way

For every day it's own challenge:

Scrambling this puzzle was a challenge in itself.. I wonder how tough the solve will be in comparison.

Apparently, the Bubbloid 122 has a parity in which two pieces are swapped. I know how to fix it, though, but it did take me a while.

BTW, for those who know me, they might see that some of these have gathered dust unfinished for too long .
I recently opened a SW box that's been sitting there for 10 months!
I'm very glad that there were no issues in that box..

I love it when a long neglected, and unruly puzzle.. obviously poorly behaved and mischievous.. let go by its slack previous owners, and being the boss of itself is doing a really bad job of looking orderly (in any way), gets a new home where the owner has the will and intent to `bring it into line`!

Almost there. I'm not very good with Bandaged puzzles, just need to figure out some new algorithms for swapping edges around to solve the case(s) above.

Here is my contribution on the Curvy Copter Plus:
One fish eye and one corner needs rotating.
Not sure of a good way to do this, but I impressed myself by getting this far.

P.S. I think I'm one of the few that actually likes the fish eyes.

So close and yet so far - I certainly wasn't expecting this when I reached the final stages

I'm fairly sure I know what the problem is, but it's quite destructive. Oh well. Very fun puzzle, I'm enjoying ti immensely.

I have got this far solving Julian's Bandaged 3++, a relative of Andrea's Bandaged 3+ and the 3quads 3 Stripes (Justin's Pocket Cube).

I have included a copy of my shorthand notes, as to how I got this far, in the photograph.

So close, yet so far away.. And I'm stuck once again with this frustrating puzzle.. Especially when you make a mistake and are thrown two or more steps back to redo them, really gets on my nerves

Though I'm already quite proud I made it this far. PS: Damn small triangles!..

Well, after having a lot of initial trouble learning how to solve the Bauhinia, I immediately went to buy an Eitan's star. I started solving it today, and after several hours, I am here.

I anticipate that the rest should be very easy compared to placing the edges.

EDIT: aaaannnd I'm done. This is awesome!

Well, I can't even post my latest `almost there`, because I got all the way down to swapping 2 inner edges (yes, I'm only up to the inner edges.. it's a hard puzzle).. when I swapped them I was forced to swap 2 others along the way, which I thought I could fix more easily, and then I took a small short cut swapping those, and put out a very hard piece to return, and then I tried to fix that without stuffing too much else up, and now my puzzle doesn't look like it's worth a photo at all! Hours of work down the puzzling drain

Hey Elias
What about holding the red face as F and green as L, then doing a CPS: u(setup), then (u' L2 u R2) x 2, then u' (undo setup). Voila!

Bunch of setup moves, rotate the corner algorithm on both those, undo the setup moves and now it is solved!

So close, yet so far away (once again..) I know how to do a 3-cycle, but I have now idea how I must do the set-up moves in this particular case..

Please, HELP. I don't want to make a screw-up and do a huge part all over again, not now I came so far and I still haven't solved it even once. Already had to do a part over again a few times, since you make mistakes so easily with this puzzle. (I posted my "almost done" moment before with this puzzle, as you can see a few posts above this one..)
