So I was watching YouTube and a guy had took a clear cube and put some sort of lighting in the core and it lit up. I think he had it in the core somehow and it looked really neat. Here's the video:
http://youtu.be/ZOIEXGayZmM

I was wondering if you could put eight individual LED lights with tiny batteries in each corner of a clear MoYu WeiLong and it could filter to it's adjacent edges and centers. As I was thinking about this, I wondered how I was going to turn it on. I would have to go and take apart each corner, flip a switch, and put it back together... Eight times.

Then I thought of an idea to put a couple lights around the core. Then I would only have to turn on one switch. The problems with that Idea is that there might not be any space to put those lights, and I might not be able to see what colors are on the corner pieces because the light might not reach through all of the plastic.

I just wanted to share my thoughts on a cube that you could solve in the dark. You could solve on the way home from somewhere (if you're not driving) at night. It would be cool to have. Share your thoughts!

P.S. This is my first post on this website :D

Maybe the Gans 3x3 would be a better choice for this, as its octopus core leaves a lot of room inside... for lights I guess? Don't know ifit comes in clear plastic though

Someone on this forum (can't find the post atm) made one using a knock-off transparent void cube. The void cube mechanism has tons of extra room on the inside.

Alternatively you could place the light outside the cube. For example, turn your bedside light on and you should be able to see the cube just fine.

I can see some extension cord issues when in the back of a car though... ;)

I could get a clear cube like a Maru CX3 or MoYu WeiLong and use the octopus core and screws and springs from the Gans III. That would give me space for a light probably. It should work in theory but the core might be too big or small for the center piece and the nut might not fit as well. I could give it a shot Christmas Day.

The octopus core does not fit in the weilong. :(
It might fit in the c3, though. :)

There might be enough space in the center of the WeiLong. I'm going to try that when I get around to it. I'm doing a 3x5x5 mod at the moment :)

It didn't fit in mine.
Maybe it would fit if you modified the centerpieces.
