Hi, I'm new to the forum and lately I've been very interested in mods of all sorts. I would like to probably start and try my own modding! What are some good mods to try out for beginner-intermediate and what are some good materials, tools, and tips for me?

Thanks!

Welcome to the TP forums FriendlyFaux, I hope you have a great time here.

This thread and this thread might help. Suggesting first mods for people is not easy, as it all depends on your basic skill level. But, if you start with a standard (cheap) 3x3x3 there are many mods which are suitable for a beginner.

Gluing only: any bandaged cube, simple extended (e.g. 3x3x4)
Cutting & filling: Barrel, Cuboctohedron
Cutting, filling, plastic sheet: Cutter cube, Wall cube

Use the Museum to search for these puzzles, and you will also find many more examples there. Also search to forums for terms like Apoxie Sculpt, Milliput, plastic sheet etc. And don't be afraid to make mistakes
