I've always thrown them away, but now I've started thinking about keeping them, since I think a lot of them look really nice, and it wouldn't take up much room if I folded them flat.
In one way it feels pointless like it's just hoarding, but in another way, I keep all of the original boxes for my video games, so why not puzzles as well?
I've now got the original packaging for the Rubik's World (which I just recieved today) sat next to the bin, but it seems like a shame to throw it away because it looks so nice.

I' not a avid box keeper but since I still have some place to store them, usually I kept the box. May be in some martywolfman's way. Some of them I even didn't open the box.
If the design of the box is good enough, the puzzle should be well decorated within the box. I like to keep that kind of box. If not I'll keep the box in another place, and put my puzzles in the cabinet~

I try to keep boxes. But then I collect factory produced old puzzles. This might not be obvious in these times of puzzle abundance, but boxes are part of the puzzles' history, and they are very important to me.

I just collect for the sake of playing with new puzzles, so I just toss the boxes. I'm sure I've thrown away thousands of dollars in value, but since I don't plan on selling anything other than inadvertent doubles, it doesn't matter to me anyway.

I keep my puzzle boxes to use for storing spare parts. It works really well for organizing them. Otherwise, I don't collect them.

I keep most boxes, especially when they have nice designs or interesting information. And for some puzzles the boxes are very good to store them.

-d This! I have made a few exceptions, only, where I kept the boxes.

I'm trying to be less of a hoarder So I only keep the display boxes. And I've also bought some pouches for my pricier puzzles. I too don't like to sell my dear puzzles so there is no point.

Well, I ended up throwing away the packaging for my Rubik's World. But then I saw a Youtube video of someone showing their Rubik's World, and they had kept the cardboard base out of the packaging to display/stand their Rubik's World on. I thought 'That looks really cool, why didn't I think of that?!' So I had to go through the outside bin to find the packaging, and I retrieved the cardboard base. Attachment:

I always fold them flat and keep them. That way if I ever sell the puzzle, I have the box for it.
