Hi Twisty Puzzles fans,

Polo Shift is yet another brilliant idea by Alex Polonsky. Seven of the corners of a cube are shifted around the spherical core. While shifting, the corner pieces change orientation, which makes this puzzle confusing to solve.

Watch the YouTube video.
Buy the puzzle at my Shapeways Shop.

Check out the photos below.

Enjoy!

Brilliant.

Regarding a mechanical solution to prevent cheating by rotating the corners, I would use a metal rod. Simple. :D

Nice design as always Oskar. Simply rotating the corners in-place is so easy i would not call it cheating. This makes the puzzle trivial to solve. Actually a bit of a let down for me,

Is this the first "Moving Hole"-puzzle where the pieces have a visible orientation?
The only other puzzle I could find is "Alex Black Hole"

Well, there is Alex & Oskar's Polo Cube, and Bram's Black Hole.
as well as my Cubedron, Octedron, Krystalledron etc,

And I am sure we can find many more if we search!

Also the Crossteaser and Bram's Rocket. I have another particularly odd one in the works.
