I finally received the three camouflage cubes last week. I'm not very happy with them. They were all very loose, but when I attempted to tighten the screws they stripped. Does anyone have any recomendation for replacement screws?

The 2x2x3 Camouflage II is a realy nice suprise, didnt see that one coming :)
To bad they still have hollow pieces but I think I will get one of the cubes and maybe fill the pieces with apoxy sculpt.
Now I still hope that the 4x4x4 30 degree cube is also comming.... with caps for the pieces !

My mini 4x4 arrived and it turns a little better than I had expected! Though I do wish that it had caps :( Other than that I had to get my tensions correct, then BOOM! it was awesome. Thanks WitEden!!

My SQ 224 arrived today and wow what a strange puzzle  . Turns pretty well.

EDIT: I took the puzzle "SQ" layer appart, just to take a better look of the mech, and I love it! Simple and work well  ! The small pieces could had been capped, but they didn't, I still find that it's a wonderfull puzzle.

Mine also arrived and it turns ok, not to good but I haven't lubed it yet. (when I turn the 1st layer the 4th layer turns too)
It's quite challanging and it took me a while to figure out how to solve it. And even after that it stays challanging, at least with my method (square 1 reduction with some extras).
The interessting fact about this puzzle is, that it's made with the same cubes as the camouflage cubes. I think it's possible to combine the square 2x2x4 with for example the 2x2x3 camouflage cube to form the 2x2x3 II camouflage cube.
I only have the 3x3x3 camouflage cube but I will maybe try building some funny mixes :)

My 2x2x3 Camouflage I arrived today from Witeden. Only took 8 days to arrive which is really good. Oddly it just had Royal mail information on it and absolutely no sign that it had originated in China! It almost makes me wonder whether they have a distributor in the UK.

So how is it as a puzzle? It looks pretty cute because it is quite small. The centre flat row still has no caps. It turns smoothly. It is much easier than the others to get scrambled and if you can solve any of the others (i.e. you understand the basic premise of the camouflage series) then it is quite easy to solve. I think it takes me about a minute to do it.

If you are after a challenge then it is not worth it but I have to say I love it! It's a great one to play with sitting in front of the TV. You don't need to really think hard and it is much more stable than the others. For the very low price I am very pleased I bought it. (I received a Roadblock II in the same package - these 2 seem to be ONLY available from Witeden direct as every other store is out of stock)

I got my 2x3x4 and 2x2x3 version II today. the 2x3x4 is fun, I've solved it once, andthere is little new and different form the versions from the first set, but its still fun to figure out.

I haven't tried the 2x2x3 yet, i have no experience of the mixup style puzzles as yet, so this should be slightly more challenging i think!

I don't own one Andrea, but judging form their youtube promotional video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Ji9ydq4ors

I'm fairly certain that is the case. The 2x2x3 I received today is basically the same but with only one layer of the smaller pieces, and that most certainly can

everything is turnable like you woul expect it. So all normal 2x2x4 moves and all square 2 moves.

Hi Andrea,

I got the SQ224, it solves basically the same as a Square2, except the main pieces are in slice layers.. which is a major pain to twist, especially seeing as it's a bit catchy.

Cheers,
Burgo.

I see that there are 3 new additions. A 4x4x4 AI cube, 4x4x3 Camouflage and 4x4x2. I already have an AI cube and 4x4x2 (CubeTwist versions) so I didn't order them but I did just order the 4x4x3 Camouflage from HK Now Store :)

Yep, I placed an order a few days ago for the 4x4x2, 4x4x3, bandaged AI (I've only done it by taping up my regular 4x4 before) and the SQ224 after seeing the new batch on Witeden's YouTube channel :)

I'm also getting them to send me a spare centre piece for my 3x3x3 Camouflage that popped off then vanished while i was solving it.

Really beautiful all the puzzles in the series.

Camouflage cube 2x2x3!
What is the mechanism? how it's done?

I don't have the version 1 2x2x3 I only have the version II, here are some pictures of it:

This puzzle, like all the others is a bandaged and extended 4x4 puzzle, They all have exactly the same core and interior mechanism. The difference between all the puzzles is in the size and shape of the outer pieces.

This first picture shows this particular puzzle with the small middle layer removed. You can see that the core (by the position of the screws) is offset to one side of the puzzle, this is what causes it to turn in the weird shapeshifting way that the camouflage puzzles do.

With a few of the corner pieces removed you can see that the core is basically a regular 6 arm core, with interior edges like other even layered puzzles have:

To make this offset turning, you can see that on this puzzle there are 2 different types of corner pieces. One is extended further than the other, this is what makes it stick out further than the other corners, when the puzzle is turned, It still functions exactly the same.

2 corners.jpg

The centre layer of the type 2 is made up of these 12 pieces. You can see that the cuts between the corner parts and the centre parts are angled to allow the mid slice turns.

Finally, you can see that this other edge, taken from my 3x3x3 Camouflage cube, has essentially just been cut into 3 pieces to make the smaller pieces. So if you had 4 of these pieces, it would be easy to insert them to make the version I 2x2x3.

now I have seen the small pieces!
I wanted to do something similar but on a 2x2x2 classic
agganciare i pezzi piccoli su quelli del 2x2x2 e poi estendere i pezzi del 2x2x2 per portarlo a forma geometrica

sorry
attach the small pieces of 2x2x2 and then extend those of the pieces of the 2x2x2 to bring it to geometry
