Ooh, looks nice. A Square-1 with varyingly sized segments, I presume?

Like with the Chopsticks I reserved a gold one. I'm not going to pre-order the color one. I don't really need/want two of the same puzzle and would rather have the gold one. I hope enough people reserve them for them to be made.

The gold one is not certain since they need "aminimum quatety" before it can be made. Please reserve now since I want one!

Hi Folks.
Don't post here much now. I only found out tonight that this puzzle was being released. As you can probably imagine I am quite excited as it is the first puzzle that I have designed that has been reproduced. However, I am also rather upset as, in previous communication with Uwe Meffert, the only thing I asked is that I be acknowledged as the originator of this puzzle. Uwe has clearly not done this. I can't understand why, as it would cost nothing. It would also have been nice to have known in advance that the puzzle was being made (rather than to have found out through an automated email). I think it would also not be to much to ask to receieve a couple of copies of the puzzle (It is my baby after all!).
I have e-mailed Uwe to request both of these things. I must admit, I would love to have a copy or two, but feel it is a bit much to pay money for my puzzle.
Am I being ureasonable?
Hopefully I will get a positive response from Uwe.
All this said, I am delighted it is being made available publicly, and Mefferts look to have made a beautiful job of it.

But I guess there is no point in bothering yourself over it. (Since there is no beneficial legal action you can take.) Respect is a two way road. So if I were you, I would just lose respect for him. But you could also give him the benefit of the doubt, that he has "forgotten" about you or something... (Which seems very unlikely in your situation.)

Uwe has clearly not done this. Both of the Jade Club emails I received mentioned your name ("very very special Rainbow Nautilus designed by Tim Selkirk") and on his site, "7 Colors Rainbow Nautilus by Tim Selkirk" is the title of the item on both pages ( here and here). Given all of these mentions I can only assume the lack of a mention in the one non-Jade club email was an unfortunate mistake, not a choice to exclude you. I believe he is extending the appropriate attribution in all other cases. Dave

When I heared about this puzzle in the first place, I read Jade Club News wrote: We are very pleased to announce the very very special Rainbow Nautilus designed by Tim Selkirk that is a top contender for the 2013 Puzzle of the Year! The Nautilus transforms into beautiful shapes and colour patterns. This unique limited edition puzzle is a must to own by every puzzler on the planet. There is also a very Special 98%, 5 micron Gold plated extremely limited and valuable edition. in the Email from Jade. I looked up your original design immediately. Honestly, I had not read your name here before. So don't worry, many others will have done the same and recognized you as the designer of this very nice puzzle. Congratulations! I have ordered the Rainbow version and hope for the Golden edition.

Yes, I did the same as Konrad, after the original Jade email I had a look at all your puzzles in the museum.
I too ordered the Rainbow and will get the Golden, but will probably buy an orange one too, all off them look beautiful.

I get the impression he can be a bit absent minded. He is however a very kind and generous person and I know from experience when this kind of thing happens he quickly rectifies them. I am sure he will now send you several of these puzzles. In the past he has even asked me how many puzzles I need!

Has anyone actually gotten one of the mass-produced ones yet? I'm itching to see how it turns. I love this puzzle.

A very beautyfull puzzle. Perhaps it's harder than a square-1, I guess.
Cheers, Andrea
