Hi All I made this large version of the Icosahedron Megaminx by truncating a Gigaminx, several of the internal pieces were then glued together and capped with 1mm plastic sheet, some building out was also neccesary. All the visible joins were filled with milliput and then smoothed and sprayed. 20 different colors were used for the stickering, which were handut from vinyl sheets. This was a fun puzzle to build and I'm happy with the way it turned out. Thankyou. Size - Point to point : 11.3cm Size - Edge length : 6cm Weight : 290gm VIDEOsome pics

Very good build! I like the piece size a lot better on this than on the original. Was this built from a MF8 or C4U gigaminx?

Sigurd wrote: Nice! I like this build very much! Have you concidered making the other version where you have a small corner instead? Thanks. No I hadn't considered that, I don't have anymore gigaminxes now though. This one actually lay unfinsihed for quite a while in my garage, I truncated it a while back and then left it X-TownCuber wrote: Very good build! I used a C4U Gigaminx. Kattenvriendin wrote:  Oh wow how beautiful! The stands are 'Acrylic Sphere Stands' I get them on ebay, they look good when used with Skewb balls and Masterballs, but they also support many hexagonal dipyramids in an upright position, which makes them look nice on the puzzle shelf.

Great craftmanship. Do you cut the stickers by a plotter?

clauswe wrote: Great craftmanship. Do you cut the stickers by a plotter? Thankyou. No, stickers 'always' cut by hand. I spend many hours doing this, I try to make good stencils first that I can draw around. On this puzzle though I just cut lengths of vinyl 5mm width for the edge pieces, and marked them off to size with a pencil, these same strips were also used for the points (centers). I used a stencil for the triangles
