Thought I'd share the progress of my newest mod; a Megamorphix. The cube was an Eastsheen and the extensions are plastic tubing that I handmade from sheet material. I plan on dyeing it all black with acetone and RIT dye once I finish the corner extensions and cap all the pieces. I hope to finish it soon, but in the mean time, enjoy! Attachment:

Superb, I just finished today making myself this same puzzle, and I did it the same way, handmade plastic tubing made from 1mm plastic sheet. Nice work.

If you just took the mod from picture 2 and straight-up capped everything, you'd have some sort of 4x4 pyramid...

Working on capping the pieces. The sides pictured are the only ones so far. Once all the pieces are capped I'll be sure to sand the small discrepancies to make everything even.

Been busy lately getting back into the swing of classes, but I finally got all pieces capped, sanded, and nicely rounded. Now ready to dye. And a thanks to Benf207 for sending me replacements for the broken corner.

That's looking great! Well done! Do you think you'll create 5x5x5, 6x6x6, etc versions?

Thanks! The dyeing came out pretty well but I gave it a light coat of spray paint for the inconsistencies caused from the super glue. I hope I can get it all stickered soon. RyanA wrote: Do you think you'll create 5x5x5, 6x6x6, etc versions? While I was waiting for the replacement corner I actually started a 6x6 mod. Not a 6x6 megamorphix, but something similar. Stay tuned.

Two sides of the puzzle have been completed with stickers. This is taking me a frustratingly long time, as I only have short periods when I can actually sit down and cut the stickers. It's getting done, slowly but surely.

Your stickering looks perfect ! Its always worth taking the time to finish a puzzle nicely, no matter how long that may be
