TP is my daily reading for a long time. These days I noticed, however, that I can't visit the site directly. So I'm using VPN to report this situation.

Is TP blocked by the GFW? Or is there some censoring mechanism behind TP that I happened to be denied?

I had the same problem a few years ago with TP being blocked at work. There is a post somewhere in off topic that explains how to get around that.
I'm going to be dumb and say go try that??? I was just in Shenzhen over the weekend and managed to get on to TP just fine from the massage parlor. Maybe it's a fluke?

This stands for the Great FireWall, the Chinese government controlled censoring of the 'net.

Don't know how to verify whether TP is blocked by GFW. Actually i can ping twistypuzzles.com normally, just can't connect.

Thank you for the information. I'm using a private dial-up connection and i think there's no restrictions in my router. Currently I'm using VPN but it is inconvenient.

Summary:
1. I can ping twistypuzzles.com, <23 ms
2. Direct connection is not working
3. Fellow from Beijing can connect TP directly(which means GFW is not censoring TP site in overall)
4. Using VPN is OK, my account is also normal.
