just for clarity- If I want to be a VIP member, then I need to
(1) be invited to become a member
(2) I need to then pay an amount of money to buy into the jade club (pay more to become a vip, pay less to become a regular member)

is that it? In either case-

Yeah, the VIP fee is $27 plus another $18 if you want both puzzles. Otherwise you get to pick one of the puzzles.

I would like to add that, for Jade Club members, I feel it is almost a social obligation to pass along invites to new members of the puzzle community, since that is the intended nature of the club.

I am disappointed at people that withhold invites, or people too lazy to actually send an invite.

There is no need to start a new topic. This one is still working fine. I have merged the two here.

As for invites, you don't know that people are withholding them. Just because you don't have one doesn't mean that it hasn't been used. I know of a few people who have given invitations to non-puzzlers. For the record, I still can invite people if necessary. But you know the rules....no real name, no invitation. No email address, no invitation. And no posting real information on the forum.

I wish there was a time-out on invites. I'd love to send out more, but one of my invites got wasted, as in the person never accepted it, even after multiple resends. That was 2010 btw. :cry:

Meffert should really just drop the exclusivity.
