Sean's Gigaminx (from April 1, 2005) was only an April Fool's joke, was it not?

Fixed.
I didn't actually read through every thread (though I did get distracted a good number of times).

Wow. Look at all of those puzzles and then look at the Tuttminx. It's like it was placed perfectly at the end of 2005 to mark the beginning of a new era. Compared to all of the other puzzles, it's so intricate, it matches the complexity of today's 3d printed puzzles. I never realized how ahead of its time it was! Very cool list, though. It's amazing to see how far this forum has come, and almost scary to think of where it could be in another 5 years.

These are the puzzles of Twisty Puzzles Forum. While yes, you are a member, I've only listed ones announced to the forum. I'm not asking you to make a thread with all of your customs just to get them on the list though...

Thank you for the effort to list all these puzzles of the past and even more for the puzzles of the month's lists. Interestingly I did something similar to fill the museum.
Sadly I recognized that there were many puzzle presented in the other subforums.

I feared so. I can look into those next weekend.

Since I was assigned as moderator one year ago I added ca. 1250 puzzles to the museum. I already searched systemacially through the subforums "Puzzle Building" and "Puzzle Collecting" and discovered several threads I will deal with in the future. Someone scanning through "General Topics" would be a great help.

They had to be hosted in places that have since changed or disappeared .

This is why Sandy prefers to host all of the images locally even if it costs more to maintain twistypuzzles.com So, for those who post new puzzles (or any sorts of images), please try to use the upload attachment feature. -d

I did a numerical analysis for a presentation a year ago. I'll try and dig up the numbers.
Also, I should not get credit for the 2x3x3 - (a) the domino was well known even then and (b) I was just following Tony's instructions!
Re: image hosting - Amazon S3 is cheap, fast and easy, plus has a built-in CDN. If it is ever necessary to reduce the operational cost or improve performance of tp.com that'd be an easy win.

Custom puzzles are worth recognizing even if they aren't original. You'll notice a vast majority of the puzzles in these lists are not original creations.

Has someone ever made a graph of the number of new custom puzzles including 3d prints through all the years since let's say 2000 until now? My guess is it's going to fit an exponential growth best... ...

The list for just 2010 is too big for a single post. DLitwin's way of just linking all the lists in one sticky is more convenient. @Alaskajoe- There were 697 in 2010 and 589 in 2011. I'm sure it would be parabolic but with a negative coefficient. Fast increase to start, slowly levelling off. I'd like to wish the trend isn't going to drop into the negatives, but 108 is a pretty significant drop. And, look at December 2011. I'd like to hope I missed several puzzles, but that list is smaller than all of the lists of 2010 and all of the 2011 that I looked at. We cannot actually do any stats until the lists are all caught up. (For a special color username I'll happily update 2006-9 . I'll probably happily update 2006-9 eventually anyway.)
