At 11:11:11 on 11/11/11 I was sitting at my computer watching the time on the 'net so that I could say I saw it. Pretty sad I guess

We've tried but somehow he keeps getting back in...

I was having an early lunch/late brunch with my husband celebrating 16 years of marriage to Mr. Man. (and as Gus, you have nothing on sad, I had to ask him just now how many years it has been )

Not knowing how many years you have been married, now that is sad. I've been married ... wait a minute, four + seven, carry the one ... 19 years. As they say, if I had murdered my wife on our honeymoon, I would have been out by now And I must not forget my next wedding anniversary, or I will be dead. And it's my wife's 50th birthday 7 days before. I see trouble ahead

Funny thing is Gus, I remember that I started dating him on April 2, 1991. The wedding took place at 11:00 on 11/11 (guess who was a history major studying a particular war at the time ) But the year of that? Nope. Gone every time.

I was setting in an Economics class, half-asleep and unaware of this once in a century temporal event.

Sadly, I am unlikely to live to see 2111/11/11 11:11:11.

My daughter pointed out that the better date would be 11:11:11 on 11/11/1111 (not 2011). Unfortunately, due to calendar and sundial problems, nobody living then would have known that this event was happening

It's actually twice in a century. Give it 11 more hours.

EDIT: Unless you're going by 24 hour time...

If you are going to go that far.... I'd opt for 11:11:11 on 11/11/11 (the year 0011 if you will). Or to keep the symmetry maybe you could go with 11:11:11.11 on 11/11/1111.

I guess if I had a clock that went down to hundredths of a second the screen shot to capture might have been: 11:11:11.02 on 2011/11/11. I doubt my reflexes would have been fast enough.

I was watching the Remembrance Day ceremonies in Ottawa.

I was lucky on the temperature as well but not on the wind speed

(This is in Paris though, I live in Belfort, but here it was 9° 11kmh winds so everytime I get lucky in one out of two )

Which is my default mindset regarding time.



I would think it would be simpler to have a high-speed video capture programmer recording your display and then extract the relevant frame.
