Why is it that I can be so happy for a person and so ticked off at them at the same time?

Why is it that the higher the alcohol content the better the liquor tastes?

If you cut your head open with a chain saw, would you feel it? (I didn't feel my tattoos)

Why are all the sexy people..... (nah, don't want to be edited) it's a line from a song guys and gals.

Why does no one like the Kings?

Why don't the side windows of cars have wipers?

And why do I forget dad's birthday every year? It's the day after Matt's. I'm dead! It's been nice knowing you all. I'm pretty sure I've had it this time around. I think he'll forgive me for the first 19 I missed, but number 20?

Patricide is the killing of your father, Matricide your mother. What do you call killing your daughter because she's a moron?

And why don't those bloggers update daily? I mean seriously? only one puzzle a week? and in some cases, a month? That's some serious withdrawal there I'm telling you!

1. Because you're a woman?
2. Because you're an alcoholic?
3. There are no pain sensors in the brain, only around the skull/scalp, but I imagine you would release enough adrenalin and endorphins at the thought/sight of your head being opened with a chainsaw, that you probably wouldn't feel a thing.
4. ...interested in me?
5. Never heard of 'em.
6. Because cars drive forwards into the rain, not sideways.

:P

leave it to a MAN to answer that way

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!The kings

Why do people always miss one question on a survey making the entire thing invalid?

Why does morning come so early?

Why is the sky blue? ( and Kelvin don't you give me any of that sciency mumbo jumbo) I mean, why not green?

Why am I still here 10 years on?

and when will I finally solve that bloody cube?

edit--cars drive forward, not sideways, I love it! But side windows need wiping too. especially on foggy days....

7. Because you sneaked it in at the end.
8. Because if it came later it would be called the afternoon.
9. Because (sorry, I couldn't resist) blue light from the sun gets scattered by the particles in the atmosphere more than any of the other colours (due to shorter wavelength), so the other colours of the rainbow pass right through the atmosphere directly from the sun, while only the blue light gets scattered from all areas of the sky into your eye.
10. Why am *I* still here, I have things to do...

 I lied. I have one more. Why does it say on the left that there are 319 guests online, but along the bottom only 18? Why don't those two numbers match?

I think the top one's for the entire forum, the bottom one is just for this message board (off topic).

no, I mean when I'm on the board index. The numbers are different. On here, off topic, there are only 10 guests. There are 41 on the board index bottom of the page, and 570! None of the numbers match....

Things that make ya go hmmmm......

(don't worry, I won't start that thread  )

I know some very smart people who can barely function doing simple things in the real world, and so appear stupid. And I consider myself smart, but I still do stupid things like, oh for example, forget birthdays

Concerning David's video: I have many people asking why I can't do that now. On Facebook, Twitter...I haven't even seen the thing (properly)

About pencil erasers: Maybe they have a reverse-absorption thing, like where all the little water molecules in the eraser want to go join their friends in the air or something...I went to New Brunswick in the summer once, nasty thing, it was so humid that the paper started to warp and the outside walls got some mold...

Concerning "Things that Make You Go Hmmmm"...That's my favorite segment on the popular "science" show Brainiac. Also, they are sometimes called Cosmic Questions, Ponderables, etc. We should start that thread and have a battle.

About the morning coming "so early", it's all about your perception of various sensory inputs, the end result being that various chemicals are fired around in your brain, making you feel tired. Coincidentally, Red Bull and other energy drinks help mimic other chemicals and block certain receptors so that it doesn't wake you up, it just makes you not tired.

About your question "Why am I still here, 10 years on?": Because we love you too much for you to go away.

Regarding your solving of the cube: did you not say that you figured out my Tangram Cube? I had once heck of a time with that one, still have not solved it, so that's pretty impressive. It was specifically engineered to have the most difficult solution possible.

About The Kings: I thought that you were talking about the King's Singers. Something a little bit different...

With respect to your concern about side wipers: I invented those. They aren't very practical. Side note: whenever we go to the dog park, my dog presses her nose right up against the windshield because she thinks it will help her get there faster. The result is nose-prints all over the inside of the windshield. When we go to the gas station to get a fill, the attendant always tries to wipe them off with that squeegee thing, but they are on the inside so he can't. Very entertaining to watch as he goes over it several times.

That was my longest post in a long time...

Is there anything you need to confess, Georges?

Regarding pencil erasers, I think the "moisture" in there is more like oil than water, so humid environments may draw out the oil faster, or maybe it's just because it also tends to be warmer, assuming the observation is real.

If I am not mistaken, spouse can refer to the husband or the wife.
From the latin "maritus".

Why don't the back seats of the cars have the sun shades?

You know, the ones that actually block out the sun, not the tinted windows.
