Guinness acknowledges world-record 17x17x17 by OSKAR

Hi Twisty Puzzle fans,

Over the Top 17x17x17 has now been formally acknowledged by Guinness World Records as the world's largest order Rubik's Cube (magic cube).

I wish to thank all the people who have supported this world record.
-Peter Weijmarshausen of Shapeways for sponsoring this puzzle and his witness statement to Guinness
-Claus Wenicker for sponsoring previous prototypes of this puzzle
-Tony Fisher for his expert witness testimony to Guinness
-Tom Curtofello for organising the New York Puzzle Party Symposium, where the puzzle was made public, and for his witness statement
-Eric Vergo for his witness statement as fellow designer
-Ana Hevesi of Shapeways for organising all the publicity and for her witness statement
-Jose van Deventer for making all video footage, for her witness statement and for all support for many years

Finally many thanks to you, Twisty Puzzle fans and YouTube viewers, for your enthusiasm for these puzzles and for your encouraging comments.

Well done Oskar, world-wide recognition at last. The only trouble with holding world records is that they are there to be broken. Perhaps you should break your own record :wink:
