I suggest that there are no such thing as random thoughts since all events in the universe are the determinable result of a previous event. Just a random thought.

Did you know that this smiley existed: I hardly ever see it used, it's in an odd location relative to other smileys, and it uses a weird keyboard symbol.

I once found a Playstation 1 by the curb on garbage day. Sadly, I never knew if it worked, as my friend's mom saw it at his house (I didn't own the necessary cables/controllers/games) and returned it to whence it came - the trash.

My dreams are getting stranger...
Dreamed that my brother in law (16 years old) bought 2 hamsters without telling his mum (probably because my wife did this when she was little). His mum found them and roasted them. Gave them to him for his tea. He moaned that his chicken had loads of little bones in it and that his hamsters had escaped.

Here's my most insane dream:
The space apocalypse is happening, and these two guys launch into space before the planet explodes. They have to plant pumpkins to survive (???). But they keep finding planets made of whole wheat flour, which (as everyone knows) can't support pumpkins. Then a deer made of solid ice kills them.
I didn't exaggerate that in any way.

I was thinking about numbers that are both square and cubic, and quickly realized that all 6th powers are square and cubic. The question is: are there any square cubic numbers that are not 6th powers?

'stop lights' is such a pessimistic term. From now on I'm calling them 'go lights'
I suppose 'traffic signals' would work, but that just seems like a PC term.

I got asked about traffic lights (as we call them in the UK) when I trained to ride a motorbike. The instructor asked what the orange light meant. I said "Go!" He replied "OK Mr Smarty Pants, what does the green light mean then?" I said "Why are you still here?"

Why do kids ask "why?" to every explanation you give to their previous "why?" question?
Dad, why [question]? Because [explanation] Why? Because [explanation] Why? Because [explanation] Why? ...
So I was wondering, what would be the ultimate answer/explanation to any sequence of "why" questions and answers?
And why?

The answer can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rings_of_Saturnhalfway down under tabulated data. The closest ring being the D ring. Im not sure how accurate the information is coming from Wikipedia but it says that the closest rings are 66,900 from centre, in km(ā“).

Similarly, if you place your hands together along the fingertips and tuck in both your middle fingers so that your second bone down is touching, you can lift apart your other fingers except your ring finger. It is because your ring finger is the least independent moving digit on your hand. In fact, it almost works as a team with your pinky finger. Try to move your ring finger without moving your pinky finger - doesn't work! I'm no doctor, but it has to do with a ligament in your wrist. (That's all I know) --JC--

I can move both the lower and upper joints without moving my pinky. The lower is easy, but the trick is, you have to have your fingers all extended and lower only your ring finger at the lower joint first, and then at the upper joint.
