It looks fantastic, honestly better than I expected based on the pictures on shapeways.

I'm guessing this is the hardest puzzle to solve that has been built to date. I wonder how this thread would apply to this puzzle. Carl

A very nice puzzle.
But wait, how many edges are there on it that even spin about? It doesn't look like many to me.

Nice build but way to extreme for my taste and here's why. Why can't the green red edge piece in the second picture be on every edge minus the color then in my humble opinion it would be a true gear minx. or wouldn't that work?

It wouldn't work. All gear puzzles turn the two sides next to it. The problem is that there are 5 sides which can all be geared with the same side, and so the puzzle wouldn't turn. I'll let someone else who is better at explaining say it.

Looks great! Nice work Oskar and Claus! I came up with the idea of a geared tuttminx, with gears on all the edges between 2 hexagonal faces. Here is a picture of what I mean: Attachment:

I think this should work. -Mark-

Wouldn't all of the pentagonal sides turn at once with this though?

Thats would actually be pretty interesting. Oskar, where are you Although I wouldn't like it as a futtminx, that would really mess up the gearing.

X-TownCuber wrote: rubixfreakgreg and I said that it was impossible I was talking about a Megaminx with faces that turn one opposite to the other... but then again that proved to be possible by making a gear master pentultimate and changing it back to a megaminx... And the geared tuttminx would have too much friction... sadly
