Being short of cash but still needing the buzz new puzzles bring means lots of lego puzzles! Here's a lego rolling cubes (edit: link should be fixed now)puzzle i made:


Each cube is just two 2x2 pieces glued together with some flat 2x2 tiles glued around them. Unfortunately i didn't have enough of the correct colours to use the usual colour scheme so i had to use grey and beige instead of green and orange.


The frame inside it helps to position the cubes when they roll but again i didn't have the correct lego pieces to use so i had to cut a flat piece, with uneven results! I will eventually get the correct pieces to finish it off better.

I also made a mini one with stickers but it's a bit hard to figure out where the colours are and i think the stickers will get worn quickly as they are quite tight - but the cubes actually move very well in this puzzle.
These cubes are just one 2x2 piece with flat 2x2 pieces on the top and bottom. (Edit: i've decided to make the two colour version mentioned on Jaap's page out of this puzzle - just need to order more stickers!)

You do know that you don't need to glue the pieces to do that?

Sorry, no assembly plans or piece lists available for the puzzles I built.
For puzzle designs, I either had the puzzle and modeled it or found piece shapes at Ishino's website. I figured out how to build the pieces from Lego on my own.
They key is using plates and smooth tiles to make cubic units and extended pieces that have enough strength to survive handling without glue.
