Hello everyone, I finally finished my lastest puzzle, which I call the Combo CurFaTRhoDo, because it's a Combo (+ 2x2) Face Turning Rhombic Dodecahedron, and I found the name pretty cool It was printed in WSF, but this is the first time I dye a puzzle myself. So what do you think, is the black deep enough? Attachment:

Sticker Comparison: Oliver, and Dr. Sticker: I ordered stickers from Dr. Sticker, as, recommended by Tom, they should've sticked better, but I will definitely order all my next stickers from Oliver. Dr. Sticker's stickers are the same sticking quality, except that it cost much more (17.50$ for this set for me), and the shipping time was extremely long: about 2 weeks. And by the way, Oliver makes sur his sets are suitable for all twisty puzzles by including white AND black in the sets, while Dr. Sticker sent me black stickers only, thus giving me a black face on black. Yet I find it pretty cool, as it looks dark grey with reflections like Okamoto's puzzles. I would've prefered white though Attachment:

It's very smooth, and real fun to play with, knoing that this is the first puzzle I make that I can't solve. Helicopter cubes are much easier than curvy FTRD's because each edges has a given position, thus making jumbling more confusing Even the centers are very hard to solve Attachment:

It might seem a bit more loose than expected on the video, but that's because I was impatient at the time and used a mini ES 2x2 I had modded a bit of time ago You can buy it as a DIY from my shapeways shop for 200$ (link in my signature) or order a fully assembled and stickered puzzle for 250$ in ANY color, as I now use RIT dye. I won't be available from tomorrow onwards, so I won't be able to answer PM's. Other pricing (5$ addition) will be applied for any XSF other than white or black. That includes ANY RIT dye colors, for whoever wants a pink puzzle Enough talk I'm sure you want a VideoEnjoy!! - Greg Design: Grégoire Pfennig

Wow Greg, that looks amazing. I’ve been waiting to see it for a very long time, but it was worth the wait. Absolutely phenomenal. Great work!

It looks really cool, but for some reason the video isn't working. I had to use keepvid to open it. After seeing the video I have decided that this is awesome. Alex

lol it doesn't give you a break. it wants to turn by itself all the time. Most easy turning I have ever seen in a twisty puzzle. Great one.

Lovely! reminds me of an idea I had a while back, but using a different shape. At first I though it turned around octahedron faces (shallow corners) and faces, but now I see it's a 2x2x2+curvy copter. Personally I think the dodecahedron cuts should be curved in more deeply but that's a matter of taste. Do you plan on making an unbandaged curvy copter + 2x2x2 Rhombic Dodecahedron?

People have asked me the same question after I printed, but I'd rather innovate than rennovate, so no I don't think I will make an unbandaged version. Sorry By the way, making it deeper would've added some inner gaps or strange useless parts that would've made the puzzle worse. It doesn't look like it here, but the spherical cavity which cuts the faces is perpendicular to the line passing through that corner and it's opposed corner. EG: take 4 circles and make a "square" without intersecting circles: you get a 2D version of a cut of the puzzle.
