I have now stickered my Tuttminx. It has been said before: It is a bit tedious to get rid of the waste. The rest was pure fun. I followed the recommendation grouping similar colours. I made an area of bright colours, an area of light and one dark. I'm very pleased with the result. Even my wife has said "How beautiful"

This should be a wallpaper of a whole room.

I have yet to sticker my Tuttminx. I am hoping there will be a release of a sticker variant to allow easy recognition of jumbling. Is something like this in the works or even being planned? If not, I'll go ahead and sticker. I know the footballminx would accomplish this goal, but I do not want to buy another puzzle.

What you might do to reduce the chances of doing wrong moves accidentally is use a pattern for the pentagonal faces that you know really well. For exapmle the meffert's color sceme for the dodecahedron. I know it really well because all my dodecahedral puzzle have it. I am talking about the tiled puzzles. The stickered once from meffert's have some changes to the sceme. However if you sticker all your pentagonal faces with that sceme you are always remembered when you see the "normal red" or the "normal yellow" that it is one of the pentagonal faces. However the question remains. "Which would be the "normal" red or yellow?" That's still not too easy to decide. But it might make things a bit more clear.
I don't know if this works for you since you might not be familiar with a particular color sceme for the dodecahedrion.

Other than that I can just say: From my experience it's not to hard to keep away from wrong turns by just concentraing. Just make sure you always pay attention to hexagons. And don't alter the tension of the screws. Right out of the package they are good. maybe even tighten a bit more. If you leave or even tighten them you should be able to recognize wrong moves instantly.

You can prevent jumbling by properly adjusting the screws. Applying a good lube doesn't hurt since you will be a bit on the tight side of things. Mine turns really easily unless I attempt a jumbling move. If I rotate a hexagon only 1 position and try to rotate any of the surrounding sides they get really tight about 2/3 through their move to the point where you would really have to force a full move. Attempt to do this usually results in one of the center caps popping off. I have scrambled and solved mine a few times now with it adjusted like this and have never had an accidental jumble.

I am stickering mine with that goal in mind. My plan (partially complete) is to sticker the pentagons with "cool" colors (green, blue, grey) and sticker the hexagons with "warm" colors (purple, red, orange, yellow, pink, brown).
I have sitckered the pentagons at this point and chose the placement so no adjacent pentagons have colors too close in hue or value. I aim to do the same with the warm colors, keeping similar colors away from each other.

So in this scheme you should be able to see if any pentagons have any warm colors (and conversely any hexagons with cool colors) and know you are in a jumbled state.

Me too! Did anyone used the proposed rainbow pattern? (follow the rainbow from pole to pole). I very curoius how that will work out!

Yes I did. Not exactly rainbow from pole to pole though since it isn't really possible.
a rainbow doesn't have pink and brown or grey. Nor is there different lightnesses of colors.
That is why my Tuttminx starts off with white than goes around that pole in yellow than orange than red and this is the first time where it splits into brown going down and over to purple further around. Purple splits in pink and further around to blue than it gets a bit confused with the darker greenish blues and at the same time brighter blues.
I will post pics of it.
It's just that I am currently studying for many exams and only my bro back in my hometown has a cam.
So I just can't take pictures. I actually have some already. But only of a Dot pattern (no I did not just take the caps off xD) and even a complete star pattern.
It didn't even take as long making these.

But I want to post the pics of the solved rainbowish stickering first.
Just wait another week or two and I will post the pics.

Hello!!

My Tutminx arrived 2 days ago, and I'm getting a breath before stickering it. It'll take the whole day!
I took a photo of it unstickered, and now I'm studying a way to sticker it.
There are 2 possibilities:
- Different Adjacent Colors pattern - It's visually interesting to distinguish each face when solved, but scrambled, it'll be a lot confusing, because the colors are very close, so you can take one of them along all the puzzle to arrive on a wrong face.
- Rainbow pattern - Solved, it'll be visually interesting too, and acrambled it'll be a lot easier to identify where the colors will be. It will prevent wrong-placed colors too.
I use the rainbow pattern on my stickered megaminx, and I put this pattern on my 20-color Dogic too (see attached photos), so I'll certainly use this rainbow patterm to my Tuttminx (white and black poles).

I'll study the best arrangement and sooner I'll post photos of it stickered! =D

Hey, I'm back.

After hours of stickering, here is my rainbow pattern below.
I didn't use the two grays, the middle-dark blue and the lighter yellow.
There aren't the lime and the real red, so I tried to substitute them on best way possible.
The fluorescent colors green and orange get darker when stickered.
And finally, I present you my new microwave... (hahaha)

Also, I personally think a dark brown would be more appropriate for the 'black' face- it would match more with the other colors.
On the other hand, the rest of the puzzle looks phenomenal (:

Agreed, the black looks a bit out of place. The rest of the puzzle looks great though. Thanks for the pics.

The problem is: I already used all brown colors available... I don't know if there's another arrangement that remains a dark brown for the bottom.
I think the dark gray will fit better than black. So I'll substitute the black stickers!

I got the white Tuttminx and tried out a few sticker patterns myself but kept being unsatisfied, then I thought... The reason I got the white one in the first place was that I liked the picture on the VeryPuzzle site.. So I went there and began imitating their pattern.. but not enough pictures were provided to allow the job to be easy.. After figuring out the majority of `hidden` sides by studying the `scrambled` puzzle.. I have come up with.. As close as I can get.. This:
