Hi everybody, Here is another collaboration between Incredible and myself. I designed the "mini" dogic in Alibre design, and Incredible FDM printed it in 150% scaling to create the maxi Dogic. It was then printed in 100% to create the "mini" dogic. I did not know the dimensions of the Mass produced dogic at the time of design, and so the design did not end up so mini, but more like the same size. It does not have the popping problems like the original, and it also moves quite smoothly. Here are the pictures: Maxi: Attachment:

Very nice! I like the size of the Maxi dogic, the normal one is a little small in my opinion anyway =P.
Keep it coming, your great.

Excellent puzzle, what a beast! As Mefferts says that there will be no more production runs of the Dogic, could these designs be made available on Shapeways? Considering what sort of prices people are willing to pay for a Dogic these days (I bought 3 when Mefferts first produced them ) then you might sell quite a few. Or does your design violate some Dogic patents?

If it was going to be put onto Shapeways, the design may have to be edited a little bit, as this design was for FDM, where as people buy Shapeways puzzles in SLS. But don't worry, in the coming week or two, there maybe another DOGIC on Shapeways...

I'm sure that Door can easily redesign and make it good for shapeways (SLS).
Most of the people (that what I think) want normal size dogic or even larger, not a smaller one. Tho some people don't have the money to buy a normal/big size dogic so there is place for both a mini and a large version in the market.

Because apparently every puzzle ever made needs to be made mini and split by you. And Voltair, that is shocking news! I thought that it was expired by now, so be careful everyone.

Can't believe I missed this this morning. Great to see a 3-d printed dogic, it at least opens a new window for those who want to own one (: (and probably for even cheaper than an original... correct me?) I like the maxi-dogic, but can you please post some comparison pictures with a 3x3x3 or other common puzzle, for reference?
Great job on bringing back an old classic.

Nice, Maybe you should rename the mini one medium or standard to make way for a true mini which is obviously coming.

I think the "mini" one, since it's the same size as the original version, really ought to be called a "Fauxgic".

Great job on bringing back an old classic. Here is a picture to compare the maxi and the "smaller" version of the dogic design to a standard sized cube. Hope to see a new thread, when the "sub-mini-split-version" is coming
