I guess it is a trick of the light, but in the second picture, your white bodied tetrahedron looks like it has a light and dark shade of blue.

My birthday gift: Four puzzles nicely presented by my wife: 1. Oskar's 2x3x3 Floppy Cube 2. Tom's 3x4x5 V3 3. Hidetoshi's 2x2x4 4. Okamoto's Scramble Cube (the legal Superfloppy) Number 3 and 4 are not exactly rare, but very nice.

Two days to late for my birthday Vergo's Cube has arrived (note the number #4) - shipping from US to Germany has been just a week (very well packed, too!): I find it interesting that the beads have to be broken in. After a few solves, the turning of the puzzle has improved much. Gingervergo had warned be, but I had assumed that the breaking in would be related to the inner mechanism. But that is just a standard Eastsheen 2x2x2. Nice looking Puzzle and very well finished.

A few days ago I recieved these two puzzles. Attachment:
's Star.jpg [ 45.49 KiB | Viewed 7065 times ]
The puzzle on the left being the painted varient of the Alexander's Star, which I won for £9.99 off eBay (postage not included). The turning is rather poor. The puzzle on the left is not rare so to speak but I though I might as well include it, it is of course a Meffert's Skewb and by looking at the insides of the puzzle it looks as though it may be one of the older ones. It was won for £2.80 (postage not included) Ryan

Today he didn't disappoint me! I've been after this one for years!!! Eastsheen makes these and every fair I get told NO. Ha! got one! Attachment:

In case you hadn't guessed, I was the one who won the Pascal's Jumble puzzle of Eitan's. I placed a last minute bid about a half an hour before the auction ended. That was the day Sachi was coming over for the interview. After we finished a late lunch I checked emails and was surprised to see I won. I have to post a few pm's because they just tickled me. First I like having signed puzzles from different builders and this was no exception. katsmom wrote: Thank you so much sir! I'll post a nice happy photo when it comes in! As for trade or sale, I can guarantee that I won't, but after I'm dead and gone, the bug just might! She says she will be rich when I'm dead because she's going to sell all my puzzles

This is a puzzle that I received from Smaz about a week and a half ago. The puzzle was far better than what I had expected it to be. I also asked him to make the caps for me and he did a great job except I just hope that the caps could be as shiny as the surfaces.!!! Anyway thank you Smaz. Attachment:

First off is a 2x3x5 that I received a little while ago. I'm really not very satisfied with it. It is very stiff and hard to turn. Also, the pieces have that "sanded by hand too much" look to them, they are all rounded off more than expected and don't line up very well. I anticipated having to re-sticker it due to the expected bubbling but now I'm considering taking the entire thing to a flat sander for a bit first. Am I being overly picky about this puzzle? Attachment:
2x3x5.jpg [ 59.99 KiB | Viewed 5435 times ]
Next off is what I was told was a rare factory panted Alexander's Star. I have my doubts about this because the paint job looks very amateur and sloppy. Maybe it's the way the yellow appears to have been over sprayed or maybe it's the markings in the paint that appear to have happened when the paint was still wet, like the finger print in the white paint. I have never actually seen a painted Alexander's Star before so maybe this is to be expected. I'm just not sure. Attachment:

This is what I found on Georges' cube page: CHAIN STAR. Alexander's Star with chain attached to one of the twelve centers for exhibition purposes. Colors painted on black plastic. This would confirm the factory paint.

@Volitar Prime My 2x3x5 was not too good when I first got it either. then I took it apart and did some work on the internals. You might wanna do that. It helped alot. Then i lubed it, and it works quite well now. my cubies are not perfectly cubic too. But heck I'll live with it. Its an awesome puzzle!

Wow, the painted Alexander's Star that I have looks nothing like that, the edges of the paint are crisp, there are no blemishes or marking of any kind, no over-buildup of paint, I think that you might just have received a bad version of it

First, a Muze Puzzle. Clearly, they did not ship them out in numerical order, as I ordered mine long after Tony got his (date on my invoice is 29th June), yet my # is uncannily low: 91/5000 (Tony Fisher's # was 578 I believe) Attachment:

Next on the list, is Shim's aka Timur's Master Pyraminx, assembled by me, stickered with Cubesmith "Rainbow" triangles in bright fluorescents, sitting next to it's very old sibling, my mom's 1981 Pyraminx: (she bought it the year I was born) Attachment:

And finally, the great behemoth of all twistypuzzles, and with sixty faces, it's the world's most complex first-order puzzle, Oskar's Big Boulder, dyed by Oskar, assembled, scrambled, and 99.8% solved by me: Attachment:

Technically, by Oskar's definition (each color may only contact it's own or black) the puzzle is solved, but upon closer inspection, one of the white centers is out of alignment. After shifting the parity from one white face to another and back again, I gave up trying to fix it: Attachment:

Here are most of the puzzles that came for me this week. I don't buy many mods, so most the puzzles I buy are vintage. All thumbnails clickable! Group shot: 10 sealed 1982 4x4s, made in Hong Kong. All of them comes with their original cardboard box! After I read Dr. Panda's post on Japanese puzzle boxes, I couldn't resist running out and buying one for myself! I really didn't think much of them before but after I actually got one, I could see how much work and craftsmanship goes into making one - and it's really amazing! This one is in quite rough shape, though. So I won't lose the instructions, I put it in the box I'm still expecting 2 new Koyosegi boxes from Canada. Then up next is a Politechnika 3x3x3 cube and original box. This one is possibly a promotional cube, with "Intercontinental Budapest" stamped in silver on the blue center sticker. I've always wanted one of these with the older box, and the price was right for me. I can see why Georges has over 20 of them! An original Equator/Globe puzzle. Nice and heavy, and in Hungarian too. Comes with the box which says it's made by Trial. It goes along well with my boxed English version! A sealed Ideal Puzzle Pen. I haven't seen many sealed ones at all, so I'm thrilled I had the opportunity to buy it. An older Rubik's Cube advertising for "Rubik the Amazing Cube". How appropriate!! Finally, a sealed Rubik's Zigzaw Puzzle. I've been searching for quite a while, and this is the ONLY one I've ever found that was still sealed. One day, I should post an updated photo of my collection. I've moved rooms and have also acquired so many puzzles that I haven't been able to put them all on display! Ben

Sorry, I couldn't help but to scramble them up as soon as I opened the box. Battle Gear Spy has much bandaging which makes it difficult to fix. I've made some decent progress on it though. The Waltz just looks like it's a total beast to solve entirely, due to the way it mixes up the piec4es. At least I don't have to worry about the white edges or the orientation of the squares/triangles

I remember playing with the string cube while I was going through the Slocum Vault. Haha. Very nice puzzle.
Additionally, the Dino Stars are beautiful.

My first package arriving with a rare puzzle!! I got a Dogic (12-color), a Keychain Skewb (and 5 other skewb variants in diamond and ball form), a Meffert's 5x5, some instruction booklets, a Tomy Megaminx, a Tetraminx, and a Platypus!! Anyone know how to activate the electronic portion of the platypus?
