Here's an example of what some people did to something that looked like it should be a puzzle:

A puzzle-sized model of Traiphum's idea is possible. It isn't too hard either.

If I'm not mistaken, that first building is a puzzle. I'm sure that at night the words are projected onto it (I could be wrong though ). :D

You are not mistaken, but they are not projected:

The "Kometor" sculpture in the town of Peuerbach in Upper Austria, which houses a walk-in museum with an entrance underneath. It was commissioned to honor Georg von Peuerbach (1423-1461) who made significant contributions to astronomy. The dodecahedron is 15m tall. (As it has only one color, I think it would scramble a bit like Tony's Golden Cube, with unexpected axes.) Further pictures and info in German available here.

This huge sculpture is outside on of my classrooms a RIT, I would estimate the edge length to be about 4 feet.

Scrolling through this thread, I noticed a post by RedRoost80 with a photo from Florida. I thought that I might add that this seems to be near the location of one world championships (it seems familiar; I think that it was the location of whatever competition was featured on the documentary "Cubers")

You'd think for that price they would at least get the colours right.. I mean, 2 yellow centres?? Someone doesn't even have an understanding of the functionality of the cube.. and they are in charge of the design  .

Even worse than all the coloring problems is that it is an officially BRANDED Rubik's product. I mean HELLO! You couldn't. Find a cube in the office somewhere to compare to?

Lets not forget that we are all obsessed with cubes here. >99.9% of the worlds population simply looks and sees a Rubik's Cube. I am sure there are things we all say and do that other experts and specialists are horrified by. For example in my job we use the term "burnt flint" a lot. The so called experts argue that flint cannot be burnt (in normal circumstances) so it should be called heat altered flint! I am sure that sounds ridiculous to most here but that's exactly what we are doing when we moan over a wrongly coloured mock cube.

In that case you should get this one:

This jigsaw is explicitly based around such plausibility questions.

Saw this building in Berlin while cyclicg to Der Verrückte Laden to but some puzzles and immediately jumped off my bike to make a photo. A bit over exposed, sorry. It can be seen on street view: stand on the Potsdamer Straße close to the crossing with the Schöneberger Ufer and look east.
