Hello!
some months ago (sometime last year) I built this 2x2x1 with LEGO. At that time I didn't know about any 2x2x1 mech, so I came up with my own

(I later realized it was one of the simplest and most common-used mechs ever...) I used the simple covering-the-middle-layer-of-a-1x2x3-mech. The mech is easy to come up with, but to build it in LEGO is harder

To make the two half cylinders inside I used
eight technic curved panels that I got from the
crane truck.
It took some hours to build it.
The turning is horrible, and the color-scheme is 'wrong', but it's fully functional
here's some pics:

I hope you understand, and if you have enough LEGOs - go make your own!

P.S. No LEGOs destroyed or glued
