Packages Just Arrived with Rare Puzzles

FYI, the original packaging was similar to the Rubik's Magic packaging - a box with a plastic window on the front, covered by a hinged lid. What you have there is only that lid. Still, it is an excellent find for an amazing price.

Here are some photos. As you can see, there is hardly any text on the rest of the box, so you're not missing out there.

However, I see you also have a small leaflet. I don't have that with mine. Could you please scan/photograph that and send it to me? (by private message or email) I've never really figured out what the solved pattern is supposed to be.

The box top consists of one folded piece of cardboard, and the left and right sides would have an opening if they hadn't been glued together. The glued sides can probably be fairly easily separated with a knife.

I had no idea how close I came to losing!

There's only one thing a crazy collector loves more than finding that one puzzle they've been looking for for years. And that's finding it at what they consider a sweet deal.

This was my Christmas. Merry Christmas to me!

Rare? Not sure. Probably.

This was a "surprise me" deal. My only criteria was that it had my name on it. My pictures don't do it justice because the lighting is bad in the house at 9 pm.

The front side has a mirror on it.

Here are a few more, taken before I shipped it. Also not the best lighting.

On the last picture you can see how I doubled etched the mirror top so you can see light through the bottom. This will look better against a strong light source like the sun.

On the left is a Clark's cube, and on the right is a blue Columbus Egg with the stand. And in the middle...

A set of four McDonald's put-together puzzles (Sundae, Fries, Big Mac, and Drink). I had never heard of these put-together puzzles before, so I guess they're rare to me, if to no one else. Tasty!

Oops! I forgot to mention of Monday I got my signed Silver Golden Cube and Egg from Tony Fisher. Awesome puzzles, but Tony's signature is slowly fading away. I banned myself from playing with them and I'll get a cube and egg from Meffert's in the near future.

Unfortunately, Tony's signature has completely faded away on mine now

If I ever manage to go to a TP meetup and he's there I'll be sure to ask for his signature on it though

If you get a signed baseball, you don't need to use it for playing, because you can easily buy another one. With signed, custom puzzles this is different.
The builders use different techniques for their signature or sign. Some work better, some don't. I already made a couple of pics from signed stickers for comparison and will show them here (hopefully soon).

A yellow signed egg of course is a problem, because
(a) he could have bought another one to play with
(b) it has no stickers.

In general especially Tony is VERY serious about services for his puzzles.
If the signature shall be replaced, I suggest to contact him and send him the puzzle for renewing it.

I received this puzzle earlier this week, but haven't gotten around to getting any pictures of it until today, when we got a bit of a break in the rain.

This of course is a Master Dino made by Scott Bedard. It's a fantastic puzzle, and it looks really classy.

And a bonus picture, with the Master Dino with little brother, Smaz Dino, who happens to be the same size.

I've been collecting for a year and half now, but this was the single most expensive purchase I've made (around €200).

I'm on Drew's waiting list on Scott's website waiting for a Master Skewb for quite a long time. And now I see, Scott has built a Master Skewb, but doesn't offer it on his own site. Strange world. But to be honest I don't expect anymore to get any of the puzzles I registered for there. Well, Scott, are you going to build more?

It's a lattice cube (master dino), not a master skewb.

Well I wouldn't call this a package, but my next door neighbor, who is quite old and nice, asked me to pick 4 lemons from out tree and she gave me a mini made in Taiwan magic cube with its cute little box

David Litwin's new Elemental:Sulfur arrived today. It moves like the original Neon, but with six additional tiles so it has more freedom to get mixed up!

One of the puzzles was obtained through a private deal with another collector/builder. The other puzzle was a gift, basically returning a favor.

My contact can't supply any more puzzles at this time, but I think Drewseph has some available. He recently announced details here. He's earned a reputation for excellent quality, so it's worth getting one of his!

A couple of days ago I received (as part of an exchange) the following beautiful puzzles by Traiphum:
- Thai Domino: home-made and very rare of course + turns very smoothly
- 336: one of his great series of 33n puzzles
- Ultramorphix, made from a 555, very nice Reuleaux shape and extremely smooth in turning
- Square-2xp: an incredible design (a combination of a 222 and a Square-2 puzzle); very ingenious and also very smooth.

The Ultramorphix and especially the Square-2xp are very difficult to solve (at least for me).
All puzzles are of superb quality and show a fantastic craftsmanship.
