I'm a little confused as to why one is called neptune and the other mercury. Are they any different?

Anyone else find it weird that the white face doesn't behave like a normal circle cube? Is this intentional and is it like that on every face but that one just happens to stick more?

The hidden bandaging makes the puzzles (much like the crazy 3x3x2) very unenjoyable to solve, not because they're difficult, but because it's an "unnatural" puzzle.

P.S i see poor pluto get's shafted yet again. Not only is it no longer concidered a planet it doesn't get a puzzle named after it

Daqing Bao is a famous modder in China.
He specializes in the cube mechanism, and he has many great original works especially his crazy series.

I also want the regular circle 3x3x3 and regular circle megaminx. I think Daqing Bao didn't talk about them because he was trying to avoid some patent/moral issues. I guess if one gets the any of the "plus" puzzle, he can simply add or remove some locking pieces to make it a regular circle puzzle. Is it right, Daqing?

I understand wanting to be unique, but in this case it feels like an ice cream store that offers only mint chocolate and bubblegum flavors because someone "has already made vanilla." Five people want bubblegum ice cream. Eight million people want vanilla.

There's no patent on these puzzles, so there's no legal issue, and I can't imagine Aleh having a huge problem with it if he was asked. So I declare that Daqing Bao and Aleh have a full-on, Obama-style beer summit (Red Stripe mandatory for at least one participant), make kissy-face, and give us all the puzzles we want: The Circle 3x3x3 and the Circle Megaminx, with no bandaging. Problem solved.

If a puzzle is in it's solved position, and then you scramble it, then pretty much it is possible to solve. (Reversing moves or a method).

I'm pretty tempted to save up and buy all of them, along with another 2 so I could hybrid them together to get a normal circle 3x3x3.

I'd say Mercury and Uranus, as on Mercury the only circle that goes with the side is white, whereas on Uranus it doesn't, so yoy could just swap the white sides over.

I want somebody to mass-produce a normal crazy 3x3x3. I don't want to have to buy 2 cubes to make one and so I won't.

I may be wrong for assuming, but where does it say that someone has to purchase two Crazy 3x3 Plus to make one regular crazy 3x3?

My guess is that the center piece has some sort of a blocking/bandaging piece, like the little triangular piece that clicks into a corner and connects to an edge on the crazy 2x3x3. My assumption (and again, it's only an assumption) is that the blocking device can be easily removed. Daqing Bao's response seems to imply that any Crazy 3x3 Plus can be made into an ordinary Crazy 3x3.

So if I follow you, I just need to buy the most "blocked" one ( for example Jupiter) and I can remove blocking pieces as I want.

Actually I also assume that only one crazy 3x3 plus is required to make a regular crazy 3x3.
But it will then be weird that why MF8 need to produce 8 types of crazy 3x3 plus when we only need to buy the most 'blocked' one and re-assemable it into different types of crazy 3x3 plus.
And also Daqing Bao's response is quite confusing that there are no numbers or types of crazy 3x3 plus or other informations involving in the sentense. So I just translate the sentense directly without my own opinion.

Everyone calling a circle cube or circle 3x3x3 a crazy 3x3x3 is, well, driving me CRAZY.

I'll be purchasing a mercury. It may be that they aren't able to be easily adapted, in which case I'll just break the bandaging and have a circle cube.

I don't see how just breaking the bandaging could give you a Circle Cube... It would seem that with any of these cube models, you would need to break but also make bandagings. (Sorry for the weird plural form, but bandages doesn't seem right either. Makes me think of something else.)
