I gather you all have heard about the auction either on the news or online somewhere with the grillcheese sandwich with supposedly to have the Virgin Mary on there. The price that it went for was $28,000.00 USD. I got one question for eveyone hear for everyone.
How the Heck do they know what the Virgin Mary looks like?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... RK:MEWA:IT
Hey I have an great idea (^ 1000) . Why don't we go shopping for either for dentist tools(scrapers) or we could just use a knife in the house. You ask what for? We put the toaster on very dark then we put the bread in and have it pop up when its done then we just scrape some or must of it off so it can look like a picture of someones face then sell it for the same starting price but then we have it on for the longest auction time allowed by ebay and call it some bible character. Not for 10, 7, 5, 3 and 1 days but for 1 month or 6 if possible?!?!?
Think of the possibles!!! You could probability make every puzzle you ever wanted or imagine.

Sure, it's even surfaced over here. It makes the turtle "apostles" scam in Carl Hiaasen's "Lucky You" seem a pretty conservative estimate of human credulity... 40 days and 40 nights, maybe.
But I suppose some killjoy might call it fraud.

Making cheese sandwich cameos could become a major hobby!
You could sell kits!
You could sell stencils!
You could sell silver scrapers with jewels at the end of the handles!
You could have your own cable channel.
You could give symposia "how to make a fortune by skipping lunch!" It could become the new diet fad!
I'm hungry. Later dudes,

What I want to know is, who keeps a grilled cheese sandwich for 10 years and then takes a bit out of it?

The way that I undersatnd it is. That someone took a bit out of it 10 years ago and saw a face then put it in a plastic bag with moth balls. Thats how I understand it. I could be wroug though.

the funny thing about this is that two days ago my whole familty was joking about it, and i had not heard anything about it before then. and now i see this.
one question..would you really spend 28,000 bucks on a grilled cheese sandwich..i dont even think a christian fundamentalist would spend that much on it..

A Christian fundamentalist is generally a little more sensible than that. Mary died 2000 years ago and that is all her job was ever about. She's not a deity, and not the mother of "God" as such.
As a Christian, if I was offered this piece of toast for free I wouldn't be interested, except maybe I'd eat it, but I think it's too old for that.
Interestingly enough, Mary appears to be pondering something, and her arm is extremely thick (a little like popeye).

Yes! There are other Christians on this site! And sausage, I agree with you. This grilled cheese sandwhich is nothing more than a grilled cheese sandwhich (with the random burn marks making a face). By the way, how does she even know what Mary looked like?
I've also seen pictures of random objects that look like they have faces and such on them. I've seen a picture of the smoke coming off the world trade centers that supposedly looked like the devil. On the TV show that it was aired on, one psychologist explained that our brains try to find recognisable shapes in thing we see, and those shapes generally turn out to be faces.

Now there's a holy man for you. The Virgin Mary saw fit to bless his breakfast so he could win $70,000 in the casino. We all know how the Virgin Mary likes her gambling.
This guy must have pulled a muscle praying the night before. Praying for personal gain, what a new and interesting idea that is. And let's not dwell on the contradiction involved in selling the goose that apparently lays golden eggs for significantly less than the price of the eggs.
Even if this guy didn't just stick a metal pendant in the frying pan, how many grilled cheeze sandwiches are made every day?! What are the odds that NONE of them end up looking like a face? How many bags of potato chips? How many clouds? How many leaves? Good thing there's a sucker born every minute or there wouldn't be enough suckers around to spend $28k on a coincidence.
I'm normally not a praying man, but if you're up there, please save me Superman.
Sandy

You're not going to believe this. I was making a grilled cheese sandwich tonight and I saw a cube in it! I took a picture for all to behold. Since I made this sandwich, my cubing speeds have decreased to less than 10.5 seconds! I just solved a megaminx blindfolded in less than two minutes...with my mind! What incredible luck! I was thinking about putting the sandwich on Ebay, but I decided anyone stupid enough to bid on it should be shot in the face.

You mite get $28,000.00 for it. Yea right you wish!!! Just put it on ebay for the longest time possible. Hope you put it on ebay in a month or so then they wouldn't think that it is fraud and get suspicious or just put it in a plastic bag with cotton ball and put it in the freezer for 10 years then put it on ebay.

What an amazing co-incidence! I don't think you get much for it. 3x3x3 images in toast are quite common.

What is truly amazing about the image of a Rubik's cube in the cheese sandwich is that it's *solved!*

That's hilarious!
Seriously, you should sell one on eBay... if only for the satire of it all.
