Here it is guys! The Starminx II Video, the core made of the famous boulder that went after Indiana Jones himself! This puzzle is 70mm per edge and weighs 1.13kg! Strangely enough this puzzle can jumble 2 different ways as seen in the pictures and video. I might re-upload though, youtube for some reason really made this crappy!

Ah...[Censored, please see the rules!!] big!
Telling from the core, if layers rotate about axes, then we will probably have a corner turning *and* face turning dodecahedron. However I'm still wondering about the 9 holes around the tips of dodecahedron.
Drew, if it happens to be what i described, please don't blame me!

Okay, I'll be patient, I just love thinking of putting the puzzle together. It's fun until you get the the really higher order ones, it's still fun but it gets hard to keep it together while putting it together.

You should see what it looks like from INSIDE! (That is actually Drew working on the design, just to give a sense of scale)

Um WAT. Looks like a giant wiffle ball.
Also, it appears to be icosahedral-based. The pattern seems to be placed such that there would be 20 of them evenly spaced. As for why the pattern is necessary i have no idea.

It's some sort of corner and face turning dodecahedron, that's easily decipherable from the picture. But the 9 holes around each corner axis have me stumped.. (possibly room for magnets to hold the pieces in due to the shear size?

I looked at it for a while, and all I could figure was a simultaneously corner, edge, and face-turning icosidodecahedron/truncated dodecahedron... both seem implausible. :V

Well it isn't really a big chop exactly. It is more like a deep-cut helicopter dodecahedron.
The edge turns just so happen to resemble those of a 24 Cube.
I would be very much interested in seeing its potential to "jumble" or whatever the term is for what it might do.

A mastermorphix is equivalent to a rubik's cube in a tetrahedron form. So this is a shapemod of a little chop?

I think he really does mean what Oscar called the "big chop". Not just a shape transformation but really a deep cut edge turning dodecahedron. But maybe it's just hope that makes me think so at this moment.
