Hi guys,
Please allow me and David (Calzone) to organise this small, but helpful raffle. All of the donations will go to a very important cause. (sorry I cannot tell you the reason now, but you will all know soon!).
I will also personally take care of the postage for my items.
I am happy to include in the raffle:
1. Magic Octopus (one of the very last originals, sent from Australia). 2. Magic Smile (one of the very last originals, sent from Australia). 3. Cubedron (sent from Singapore).
I hope more puzzles from other builders may be added to this list.
David (Calzone), would you like to get the payments for this? (it would be easier) If not, I am happy to do this separately.
Pantazis

Dr. BNPB,
Can you tell us where to send the money and how much you want for each raffle ticket. Might I suguest a minimum of $5 per ticket as they are truly amazing puzzles up for grabs. Added to that, this really is for a great cause!

I mean, if there is more than one person receiving payments, then some of the money will be gone in PayPal fees, so it would be preferable that David receives everything. Pantazis

I hope your luck holds And I wish luck to all those who enter. I was going to send pm's to all on the board, but going through the names on the first page, I realized that many members listed haven't been on the forum since 2004 Instead, I will write that if you want to know the purpose of this raffle, please send Dave or myself a pm. We will gladly tell you but respectfully request that you do not post the reason on this forum. It is ment to be a surprise! For those of you that I already pm'd thank you for your replies. Good luck to everyone, and remember, this is for a good cause. So Go BUY THOSE TICKETS!

Ok…..here are the details for the raffle… Each entry is $5 USD. There are ten (10) prizes up for grabs so far, so there will be ten (10) potentially different winners. The current prizes are as follows (actual puzzle may not be pictured....colors, etc. may vary. I used what I could find online for some of them).1. Magic Octopus (one of the very last originals, sent from Australia). (courtesy of Pantazis) 2. Magic Smile (one of the very last originals, sent from Australia). (courtesy of Pantazis) 3. Cubedron (standard) - (courtesy of MindStrat Puzzles)
4. Cubedron (Classic) - (courtesy of MindStrat Puzzles)

5. Cybedron - (courtesy of MindStrat Puzzles) 6. Turbo Mind Twister – (courtesy of Katsmom) 7. A Reuleaux Mastermorphix - (courtesy of Tattooed)

8. A massage ball - (courtesy of Aleksey) 9. Elemental Neon DIY - (courtesy of David Litwin) 10. Japanese Triple Cube - (courtesy of Geert) EDIT: Please don't send any more payments to my email address, but please do visit this auction link LINK Thank you, and be sure to include your TP ID in the message field when paying. This offer is now unlimited! The balance of the funds will go to a reputable foundation. You'll have to trust me to tell you what it is later. You will be assigned your number(s) based on the order I receive the payments. Numbers will be posted here as we continue throughout this week. On Saturday, April 25th at 12: noon EST, I will use the random sequence generator at http://www.random.org/sequences/ to determine the winners. I will input the total number of entries and it does the rest. The sequence generator spits out numbers in a column like this….. 11 67 74 22 121 54 20 118 62 30 103 69 114 119 16 15 25 The numbers, starting from the top, will determine the winner of each item in that order. Thank you all and good luck!! EDIT: If anyone has something that they would like to add as a prize, please PM or email me.
Also, there are members that contributed to this cause prior to this raffle being set up. A separate raffle will be set up for those members! I don't want to confuse or mess up this one. Here is the list so far.... !!1 jason9000 2 jason9000 3 jason9000 4 jason9000 5 jason9000 6 jason9000 7 jason9000 8 jason9000 9 jason9000 10 jason9000 11 jason9000 12 jason9000 13 jason9000 14 Derek Bosch 15 Derek Bosch 16 Derek Bosch 17 Derek Bosch 18 Derek Bosch 19 Aleksey 20 Aleksey 21 Aleksey 22 Aleksey 23 Gene 24 Notoday 25 Notoday 26 Notoday 27 Notoday 28 Riceball92 29 Riceball92 30 Trixter 31 Trixter 32 Edam 33 Edam 34 Klara 35 Klara 36 Klara 37 Volitar Prime 38 Volitar Prime 39 Volitar Prime 40 Volitar Prime 41 Volitar Prime 42 Gene 43 Darryl 44 Darryl 45 Darryl 46 Darryl 47 Darryl 48 MarkSS 49 Jaap 50 Jaap 51 Jaap 52 Milan 53 Milan 54 Milan 55 Richard 56 Richard 57 Geert 58 Geert 59 Geert 60 Geert 61 Geert 62 Thio 63 Thio 64 Caphits 65 Caphits 66 Caphits 67 Caphits 68 Caphits 69 dlitwin 70 dlitwin 71 dlitwin 72 Sausage 73 Sausage 74 Sausage 75 Sausage 76 Sausage 77 xsportx 78 xsportx 79 xsportx 80 xsportx 81 Josh B 82 Josh B 83 Taylor 84 Taylor 85 NeoDarkHaven 86 NeoDarkHaven 87 NeoDarkHaven 88 NeoDarkHaven 89 Danny Devitt 90 Danny Devitt 91 Danny Devitt 92 Danny Devitt 93 PaulWozniak 94 PaulWozniak 95 Apollo 96 Apollo 97 Apollo 98 Apollo 99 Apollo 100 Steve 101 Steve 102 Steve 103 juanan 104 juanan 105 juanan 106 cubefan8 107 Hendrik Haak 108 Hendrik Haak 109 Hendrik Haak 110 Hendrik Haak 111 Hendrik Haak 112 the.drizzle 113 the.drizzle 114 the.drizzle 115 the.drizzle 116 the.drizzle 117 Near 118 Near 119 Near 120 Near 121 poloquebec 122 poloquebec 123 Julian 124 Julian 125 Julian 126 Julian 127 Julian 128 Skarabajo 129 Oogyboogawa 130 Oogyboogawa 131 doubleyou 132 Steve Adler 133 Steve Adler 134 Steve Adler 135 Steve Adler 136 Steve Adler 137 ppeccin 138 ppeccin 139 Jeffery Mewtamer 140 Jeffery Mewtamer 141 Jeffery Mewtamer 142 Jeffery Mewtamer 143 Jeffery Mewtamer 144 Alex 145 Alex 146 Brandon B. 147 kastellorizo 148 kastellorizo 149 kastellorizo 150 kastellorizo 151 kastellorizo 152 kastellorizo 153 kastellorizo 154 kastellorizo 155 electroshock106 (not a TP member....yet) 156 electroshock106 157 electroshock106 158 Garrett (snuck in the back door) 159 Garrett 160 Garrett Winners are...... I think 150 should be the goal. Pantazis PS. David, please add both Cubedrons (Classic and Standard) and one Cybedron, instead of just one Cubedron. I just contacted Siva and he is keen for this, especially as our company structure is such that some earnings will always go for many similar good reasons in the future.

I won't buy out the raffle, but when more details are made public, I'll probably throw in a RXM. Sven wrote: Its not for a profit. So not more needed. I realize its "not for profit" but a good cause is a good cause and it seemed odd to put a cap on it. I'm in the dark about it all so I was just curious.

Add an RXM from me to the list of prizes.
Edit - RXM = Reuleaux Mastermorphix (sorry if that confused anyone)

I would suggest that everything over the 125 or 150 entries or so be donated. Just my 2 cents.

I think I'll buy 5 tickets. I think these raffles are a great idea. It allows poor people (like me) to have the chance to get amazing puzzles. Edit: 25$ sent.

More added to this post above. So far we're getting a good response. Let's keep it going. There are plenty of entries still available, and the odds you'll win something are pretty damn good!

I'm in for three tickets. And while I'm at it, I'll add in a Neon DIY kit to the raffle. Hey, if I win my own puzzle, think of all the shipping I can save! Dave

By the way David, the Magic Octopus and Magic Smile are from me, but the Cubedron Classic, Cubedron Standard, and Cybedron are from the company, so it should MindStrat Puzzles getting the credit for those, not me. It was Siva and the rest of the Singapore team who encouraged me to add more items! I also need to update the Cubedron/Cybedron photos, those are from the old batches and/or samples!!! (the Octopus background for the red color octopus is yellow... sorry for all the wrong colors LOL) Pantazis PS. WIll it be ok if I also take part to the raffle? There are some really good puzzles now! (I promise if I win one of my puzzles, then the puzzle goes to the next number, not me! LOL)

Thanks for the clarification. I updated the post above with that info. kastellorizo wrote: I also need to update the Cubedron/Cybedron photos, those are from the old batches and/or samples!!! If you have new pics, send them over and I'll update them. I added a disclaimer for now. kastellorizo wrote: PS. WIll it be ok if I also take part to the raffle? There are some really good puzzles now! (I promise if I win one of my puzzles, then the puzzle goes to the next number, not me! LOL) Since you were the one with the idea to start this, how could I say no?!?! I'll put you down for 48 entries. Thanks!

I need to figure out a different way to accept these payments! Please don't send anymore until I figure this out. Paypal is looking to shut down my account...see below. I'll post something else within the next hour or so. Paypal wrote: We appreciate the fact that you chose PayPal to send and receive payments for your transactions. Why would you buy that? Everyone knows you can just right-click and hit "copy picture". Good idea on that auction, let's just hope eBay doesn't take it down.

Edit your post where it says to send the money to your paypal address. That will probably help sort out the situation.
