I am spraying a Skewb Cylinder today. I'll be stickering it in the next few days but which of these patterns do you think is best?

I'm going to say the ////. I like the rotational symmetry and the fact that all pieces look distinct (in the first one the corner pieces seem to come in pairs, even though technically the two corners of each pair are in opposite orbitals and can't be interchanged).

I noticed on your website that you already have made a //// cylinder skewb. Why not make the other? Unless of course you sold that one and you wouldn't have two of the same, but I'm always about trying new designs.

If you use first figure's pattern (VV), U and D side's colors can be same.
But if you need to use different colors to U and D sides, I like second photo's pattern (////). :)

Thanks for these comments.
I'm still undecided.
Though //// looks better my original thought was \/\/ giving four pairs of like corner pieces and a chance of getting them wrong. I solve top corners first and would have to think about the bottom corners to see if the were all positioned correctly. With //// there is a possibility of getting the side colours in the wrong sequence because the colours aren't linked - but in practice with a RWB (BOY) colour scheme this wouldn't happen. Either way I want the orientation of the top to bottom pieces to be important.

I've stopped here till tomorrow with top white and bottom yellow.

As Michael points out, the identical pieces are in separate orbitals and so can't be in the wrong position.
