Similar to the E-Cube and the Fentix Cube

Story and video demo: Gizmodo - TouchCube from TechnoSource

Article paraphrase wrote:
...a simple swipe of the finger in a straight line or an 'L' shape (for rotations) does the trick. There's an accelerometer built in that ensures only the upwards-facing surfaces respond to your touch, so you can still hold the thing.

And it wouldn't be a touchscreen Rubik's cube without a few improvements: namely, the TouchCube can solve itself as you watch, and even teach you, step by step, how to do it. Built-in memory will also save your cube's state if you need to take a break.

Techno Source has spent three years working on the TouchCube, and it will be available for $150 this fall.

Article claims it's the world's first touch screen cube, but the Fentix cube is really - even if a different technology.

That's really cool! Out of my price range, but that'd be really cool to see in action!

that is pretty awesome. I think I like the fentix cube's look better though.

Looks cool, but I don't really like it, cause as I can pretty much say for most people here, I like to feel the puzzles and hear them and things. Hence, Twisty Puzzle

Very cool! I played with the Ecube once, but it was in clear daylight, so it didn´t turn out too well.
The price seems surprisingly low for so much touchscreen surface. I do think it looks a lot better then the Ecube.

PS is the Ecube still for sale, and where can you still buy it?

I think cube4you still has the e-cube. That's where I got mine.

I love the first comment:

Let's see those blindfolded showoff assholes solve this one. Yeah, that's not the cube you're feeling, that's failure.

:P
