Alright, I finally took pictures (although not very good because it was done freehand) My collection is precariously displayed on top of my computer tower, much like an accident waiting to happen: http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c79/errorcoins/TwistyPuzzles/Puzzles_100808030.jpgA closer view: http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c79/errorcoins/TwistyPuzzles/Puzzles_100808032.jpgThe base/bottom: http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c79/errorcoins/TwistyPuzzles/Puzzles_100808008.jpgThe middle of it all: http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c79/errorcoins/TwistyPuzzles/Puzzles_100808013.jpgAnd the top: http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c79/errorcoins/TwistyPuzzles/Puzzles_100808015.jpgI even have stuff stuffed behind stuff! http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c79/errorcoins/TwistyPuzzles/Puzzles_100808016.jpgSadly enough, my collection is more of an accumulation of 3x3 puzzles Nothing really amazing...no mods... Before anyone asks, I've had cubes fall on my head before, and also found myself covered in puzzles before Edit: Hmmm... the photos aren't showing up Edit: Meh, I guess I'll just link it, and not cause lag to anyone else I didn't realize that they were that big Edit again: Okay, this forum just hates me Edit again again: I get why it's not showing up, I had the "Diasble BBCode"

I figured out why now I had the Disable BBCode box checked... It still seems like it likes to stay checked... Maybe I'll have a look in my User CP to see if there is a setting. Ben

This is the last picture of all of my puzzles together I also have an Eastsheen 2x2x2 and a Mefferts Pyraminx lent out to my maths teacher. When I said 29 I didn´t count the Neocube, because it isn´t in this websites database.

Since last time I posted here, I went to the DCD and bought the following: puck with numbers 1-12, rainbow masterball, rubik's magic 8 panel, missing link, rubik's world 3x3, basketball dreamball, sudocube, keychain sudocube, pyramorphix, 1980 original rubik 3x3, rubik's mirror blocks, Darth Maul head, and one or two more I can't come up with. And all of this for 120 euros! Which isn't very much for all of these. I'll have a picture up soon. Sjoerd

OMG Sjoerd, you made me feel embarrassed. I went home after having spent more than ten times what you spent. Of course I now have a Hexaminx, a Pentagonal cube, a large handmade wooden cube, a Rainbow mod, a Junior barrel (these 5 more than 1,000 euros) and many other beautiful, less expensive puzzles.

Really I'm not sure any longer. If I am not mistaken it was 150 euros.

I been watching lately various new collections coming up, so I decide to take a pic of mine and share it with you. Nothing out of this world, enjoy. I forgot to add my Mefferts Tiled Megaminx I just got it so I haven't take a pic yet, but you all know it pretty well, I think.

Nothing out of this world? I see at least 12 puzzles I don't have in my collection.

Thanks! BTW, by tags, you mean [img] and [/image]? When I did that, it didn't work, it just said "Image" instead of showing the picture.

Yeah...I got the angles of the edges kind of messed up, so it doesn't look quite that good. I still have to fill the centers, which I haven't had the time to do. One of these days though...

I'm totally impressed with some of these collections.
This may sound a bit ignorant, but when do you guys find the time to play with all of your puzzles? They're for entertainment, right? So with so many puzzles I would have such a hard time deciding which one to play with at any given time!

-CC10 Well pointed out. This is one reason why I stopped buying 'everything' and why I am selling all those I don't play with.

But do you have to "play with everything"? I've said somewere before that I have a few regulars I play with. Each one gets its turn when it comes into the house, but then gets put away until I remember it again months later.
I have "heads" that just sit on my shelf and look nice. They are almost never played with. The Gundams have never been turned, and neither have the Warner Bros. My Globes all sit in a nice row keeping the world in it's correct order. I'm afraid if I twist those something bad will happen (along the lines of Walter Tevis)
Some things are worth collecting just to collect.

I try out *all* my puzzles, even the sealed ones. If I have a duplicate, then it's a bonus. And if I get a super rare puzzle without the chance to play it, I will grow green. I just can't stand the "itchy-fingers" feeling! I can be super patient when waiting for a puzzle to order or to arrive, but once it is beside me, it *has* to be used. Afterall, the puzzle's reason of existence is to play with it! Pantazis

Thomas If I have one cube without its box, packaging, I play with it. I'm simply assuming that all the sealed cubes are played alike (grin). But you are correct Thomas, I should have been more precise: I'm selling all those different type of puzzles I don't play with.

My friends call me crazy for my collection, they are unaware that there are many people like me. I have to put my collection to date. In one week you can see the collection of Juanan, exchange views and some cube.

Hello, everyone. Here are some photos of my collection. Short history: Had a Rubik's cube and small pyraminx during the early 80's craze. Solved the cube using "The Simple Solution to Rubik's Cube" by James G. Nourse, never solved the pyraminx, then faded away. Heard rumors in the late 80's of 4x4x4 and 5x5x5 cubes available in Germany, but ignored them. No way could you make cubes that size - it just wasn't feasible. Found rubiks.com in 2003, picked up 16 puzzles, thought that was it and faded away again. Found some YouTube cube collection videos in mid/late 2008 and was drawn back to twisty puzzles. I started collecting in earnest on November 1, 2008, and have developed quite a collection since. Here are all the puzzles I owned on November 1, 2008: Nov. 1, 2008 PuzzlesAttachment:

Updated collection in my signature...i'll have a full picture when the puzzles that i'm waiting on arrive, including: White Master Pyramorphinx/Mastermorphix from Mefferts Mirror Blocks (which sadly appears to be a knockoff. I must buy the original at some point) 2 more 3x3 DIYs 3 more SQ-1 DIYs (for round-1s and one to keep)
I also loaned out my ES 5x5 to a friend, so that's missing. My collection's growing ever so slowly, and i still have lots more puzzles that i want to get. Hopefully this summer i'll be able to buy more puzzles without having to restrain myself due to shortages.

Just today I got a puzzle which isn't exactly a twisty puzzle. It is a sequential movement puzzle, similar to the "Tern Key" introduced by cubicdissection some while ago. I haven't counted them myself, but according to the manufacturer it needs 1250 moves to remove the key. It's a very nice puzzle, and by the way it is number 500 in my collection, that's why I am posting an update to this thread... About a third of my puzzles are twisty ones and the latest twisty addition is a face turning octahedron I created from a spare Rainbow cube. My collection can be viewed in my little gallery page, please click the link below.
