Dan Cohen set a new world record this weekend at U.S. Nationals of 1:20.98. Wow! Here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bq6uLJ5mH4It looks to me like a V-Cube5, although it could be a white Eastsheen. Does anyone know for sure? If it's a V5, these new cubes are already having an impact on the official times! I know my 5x5x5 times are better than ever on this cube. Either way, congratulations Dan! Chris

Too big for an eastsheen, it must be a V-cube. I should order one. Q

It was a V-cube. I believe most of the top 5x5x5 people had V-Cubes, except for Phil Thomas.
Also, the winners for the main events each received a full set of V-Cubes. And Phil was able to buy one from Verdes directly.

I was just wondering if this happening to anyone else my Vcube 5 just isn't getting as lose as my eastsheen and rubiks. Don't get me wrong it's a lot more stable and pops a lot less (but still does sometimes) but my rubiks and eastshen just turn smother. I've tried lubing it several times but it has had little to no effect ln fact it makes it worse for awhile. I don't think it takes the lube very well because of the compact design. any thoughts?

At the Czech Open I used a hybrid cube, which was the core of his new white v-5, with the pieces of his old prototype v-5. It was an awesome cube. He used the inverse cube! (old core, new pieces)

When I got back from Atlanta, my black V5 was waiting for me. Once I lubed it and broke it in, my average dropped down by like 20 secs.
