House Skewb - build finished - video added

I have just finished my Skewb House. It's taken a while due to experimentation with printing the stickers and waiting for stuff to be delivered.

In a nutshell:1.5mm ABS sheet, super glue gel, black artists' acrylic for fine edge filling, home-printed vinyl stickers coated with satin acrylic protector

Wow! Simply amazing!

I usually prefer to see only the regular 6 colours. But this is beautiful.
And because of the subtle differences on the print, this one must be pretty difficult to solve.

Seriously cool! My girlfriends response to twistypuzzles is typically somewhere between annoyed and uninterested. This one, though, even pleased her! Congratulations on what seems to be the most impressive puzzle ever made

This is an absolutely nice item, made with a lot of love to details.
Congratulations to your design.

In Germany on Christmas markets you can buy painted clay craftwork houses as small copies of classical or well-known houses of the local city. Maybe, with different sticker sets, you could create whole streets of houses

And then use an X-Block with nice stickers as the Tower of London ..

Very good job. Not my normal sort of puzzle preference, but it's a really clean build. I suppose that the stickers wouldn't fare too much better than the usual polypropylene paper stickers. Still looks really great though.

The stickers have been my main concern. They are sprayed with acrylic against finger moisture, scratches and airborne reactants. But I won't be playing with it every day and it won't be in direct sunlight. For my first attempt in this area I am happy they will serve the purpose.

On my next one I am seriously considering Stefan Pochmann's idea of varnishing with super glue. I did try this and was very impressed with the toughness though you do get a sort of orange peel texture. http://www.stefan-pochmann.de/spocc/other_stuff/super_5x5/
