Easy Beginner Mods?

I've always wanted to make cool new puzzles but i never knew where to start! Can any1 link me to some easy mods?

I'd highly recommend starting with the same mod that I started with, the Half Truncated Cube.

You could just start with making a 3x3x5 cuboid..
Just need a super 3x3x3 cube and a couple of cubies for extention..
