I've never used plastic sheet before. So far just been a Shapeways person. However I find myself with a need of some small accurately cut colored 1mm x 1mm x 15mm strips/blocks. I was thinking about making these at Shapeways and then dying them yellow, red, orange, green, blue, etc. But that is a fair amount of work and I think I may get better results just cutting them out of already colored plastic sheet. I've not worked with this stuff before so I was curious about the following.

(1) Where is the best place to get colored plastic sheet that is about 1mm thick?
(2) How hard would it be to cut this into 1mm wide strips? I'm thinking a paper cutter might do the trick.

If the above works well it would be aI simple mater to cut the strips to length with an xacto knife.
