Including 8 axes.
Including ball and 8 axes.
Including iron ball and magnet pieces.

I don't understand if you are asking a question or just trying to let everyone know that there have been 3 types of mechanisms for the 2x2x2.

1. Yes, the current larger 2x2x2 puzzles (Pocket Cube, Pyramorphinx, puzzle Heads) have an internal mechanism which does not contain a Ball at the center of the object.

2. The smaller version like the keychain version of the Pyramorphinx, has the ball mechanism.

3. And of course the original Magnetic version too.

My site has been recentely updated to show the internal mechanisms of the Skewb, 4x4x4 and 3x3x3 and as I get more prepared, I will add more to the site...including the various 2x2x2 mechanisms and 5x5x5 if I can figure out a safe way to get it apart and back together without breaking the corners

I like the way your photo of the Skewb Diamond shows the metal click-balls that make Meffert's puzzles feel so right. 'Love that satisfying little click.

Now if you would just add a photo that shows where to put the screwdriver....

My text description is not quite correct. It implies that the image is of a Skewb but it is really an image of a Diamond Skewb. I will fix that soon.

try as hard as you can to put in a dissassembled 5x5x5! ive been wanting to see inside one for ages... if it looks as good as your other pictures it will be really cool! you could ask wayne how he dissassembled the 5x5x5 on the top of his site...

Actually, I have 2x2x2 puzzle which contains a Ball at the center of the object.
I bought it about 20 years ago.
I think old 2x2x2 puzzle has ball mechanism.

I don't know more.
I want to know about variety of the internal mechanisms , especially 2x2x2 mechanisms.

I cannot find the skewb internals page.
did it go missing?

Actually, it's not all that difficult to do safely. All you have to do is rotate the second layer by about 45 degrees, and then with a little bit of jiggling the edge piece will come out quite easily. Going for the corners first is NOT a good thing to do with this puzzle, as the corner tabs are so huge that they're partially buried by the edge piece tabs, and will probably snap off. L8r.
