Pieces that can be slotted into a LanLan FTO/Rex Cube/Master Skewb inner core assembly to make a Dino Cube.

A quick one indeed. You could make it based on the existing LanLan core but I think it's cheaper to just print the entire thing, so here we go: 50mm Dino Cube puzzle on Shapeways


Printing it based on the LanLan core would require the pieces to go deeper in to the puzzle, using more material. In this design, the core is simply hollow so it probably uses less material. Plus, the LanLan core is not free either.
I'm not going to print it myself, but maybe some of you will like it. Edge length is 50mm like an original one.

I think I'll actually make one of these when I get back into having time to do puzzles. D:

Tom, the idea was that you won't need to buy screws or springs if you use an existing core. (You could also toss the caps to reduce cost...) Does your design need screws/springs?

Yes, tossing the caps would save you $2.07. I think most people would rather pay a little extra and end up with a better-looking puzzle.
Of course it uses screws, you just need 8 standard M3 screws. Those shouldn't be too hard to find and I refuse to design any puzzle with glue-in pins or snap fits.
