So Oskar let me borrow the geared mixup to try and modify and make it better. The first thing I did was tighten all the screws that turned the gears and added a spring underneath on of the corners

The second thing I did was use SUPERGLUE to add a layer of thickness to some of regions of the parts to counter-act the tolerancing, this worked incredibly well. The puzzle is perfectly stable and near fingertrickable
