Hello, I've had this idea for a while- what if we sticker full-color plastic puzzles (eg Dayan Guhong, Jewel, MF8 crazy cubes) with black stickers? I think it will look really nice, to have a halo of color peeking out behind the black, like a solar eclipse. Or, we can also use 'frame' stickers so that more color shows, like on the polished SmaZ puzzles. I think it would look good, but I want some more feedback. PS if anyone wants to make this, feel free, but I will be making one as well

The only problem is that this tends to highlight misalignments and errors in the stickers, but if the stickers were completely black and were quite a bit larger than they normally would be, it could look nice. I would like to see this tried on the Dayan Gem because I think that it would be the puzzle that is least suited to this project, and that way we can see what the problems could be.

I actually stickered my gold colored golden cube with black stickers. It does look really nice. I would imagine it would be nice on the colored plastic as long as enough peeks through.

I love this idea, and I was going to do it on a colored Guhong, but never got around to getting one. Someone definitely ought to do it, I think it looks a lot better than just colored plastic.

How about a scrambled cube, then apply stickers as if it was solved?
That would yield 2 solutions! (Like a scrambled stickered mirror blocks)

Everyone, since I do not want to start another topic and waste more space I felt I might as well ask here. Is it possible to install a sticker on to the tiny corner piece of the MF8 crazy 4x4x4 III without the use of superglue? Anyone who owns one, please post your estimate! I've found a great deal in China for one of these puzzles, and would like to buy it, and test this idea (I dislike the colored plastic.) Thanks beforehand, everybody

Looking forward to seeing it. I think its a good idea.
I suppose its success will come from the underlying colours.

this was the first time I had stickered a cube, so it's not the best. Attachment:
